Dual function and high visibility

I skateboard to work and wore my regular bike helmet for a while but was keen to invest in something different. I bought it because it has a dual purpose so whether I'm getting in or cycling my head is protected. I also bought orange because it's more visible to motorists around you since the top of your head is the first thing they see (on the days I'm cruising the streets on an electric skateboard at 20mph ). I can't say it looks good on me, but it's more about protection than looks, and the…

Triple Eight Gotham Helmet in S/M CREME

I've been looking for the perfect bike and certified skateboard helmet for a long time and decided on this one. I tried a few at my local stores and just didn't like their "standard feel". I took a chance after reading many reviews. I am very happy with this Triple Eight Gotham helmet. I also skate a lot, which is great. Very convenient. It stays in the right position without being too tight. This really is perfect for my 22.5 inch brain bin (my head haha). My friend got a Bell certified helmet

Perfect fit after changing the dialer strap attachment point to the helmet

I got this to work by adjusting the fit of the dialer strap in an unadvertised way - there are two holes next to it. each other at the point where the strap attaches to the helmet and the strap snaps into one of them. I untied it and put it in another hole, making the circle smaller. My head circumference is about 54-55 cm, which is the lower limit of size S. I order and send back several helmets because nothing fits - size XS fits better. too small, S was too big even after using thicker…

2000 Mile Review Best in Protective Gear

Background to the review: From mid-September to early December, my fiance and I traveled from Greece to Portugal, partly by train through Italy and Spain. I'm pretty cheap and bought two 1980's Schwinns that we traveled in. I was looking for something in the middle in quality and price with a helmet. We drove just over 2,000 miles. We rode in all weather conditions except snow, with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees on our trip. I had a Bern helmet (Berkeley model) for many years, but…
