Cheap. May not be powerful enough for many applications. I could barely get my very light sports car into the trailer. If you are not sure, upgrade to the next model. The remote control is good too, but if the battery in the remote dies there is no way to even manually activate the winch. Just in case, I taped a spare battery to the back of the remote's case. I installed this on my trailer by replacing the handle. Some days I leave work early and some days I walk and live 5 minutes from the Niagara River. Still, I enjoy getting on the boat and that's just me. I have a 16ft aluminum center console with a 40hp outboard motor. When I get back to the boat ramp, I slide the trailer in and pull the hook out. I hook it up to my boat and from the dock I can pull the boat in with the remote and steer it in place.
