Holds up like promised.

I admit I wasn’t sure this toy would hold up to my 18 month old puppy (pit bull).but it’s still in great shape and gets tossed and shaken all over the house all day long. Tug of war is her favorite game to play with this toy. Highly recommend.

Pros
  • Love the tuffy productsLasts longer than any other stuffed dog toys
Cons
  • It lasted from December 25-Jauary 25... Our pups destroyed it.

DEFINITELY NOT THE TOUGHEST.

DEFINITELY NOT THE TOUGHEST.Our little female 40 pound Springer SPaniel was ripping the tail and hair off of it within 15 minutesAn hour later the stuffings were coming out.I understand the description said not a chew toy,but why else would you buy one? The material IS tough and the toy is still around, just not in anything close to its original form. Now it is a stuffingless skin she still plays with.

Pros
  • Endorsed by veterinarians for its quality and durability
Cons
  • May not be as exciting as other toys when playing fetch

Good but not good enough

They arrived less than 24 hrs ago and she has already put a hole in the face. Wishful thinking. Back to they drawing board.

Pros
  • Great toy, can be chew threw tho.
Cons
  • This toy lasted 6 hours. Very disappointed. Will never purchase again.

My Grand Dog Loves her New Tuffy Warthog!

I bought this Tuffy for my Daughters little Pitty, Miss Maze.I’ve bought her other Tuffy’s in the past, but always the Donuts since she is a seam ripper and goes straight for the seam now that she has had a few of those.I decided to change it up after reading the reviews, and when I Face-timed with my daughter, Miss Maze was utterly fascinated by the Warthog and fell instantly in love. She carries it everywhere and even sleeps with her "baby”. And, as I thought, it’s been several weeks and she…

Torn/shredded edging within 1hr

Gave this to a 4m old boxer mix who’s teething and it lasted less than 1hr. She tore right thru the stitching on the tail June 24, 2019.

Pros
  • June 24, 2019
Cons
  • Some dogs may not be interested in this toy

Very strong and durable.

First toys my dog hasn’t destroyed immediatelyWill be buying many more! Thank you for making a quality product ! My 18 lbs terrier ripped this to shreds in about 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Pretty tuff, haven’t torn this one up.
Cons
  • My 18 lbs terrier ripped this to shreds in about 5 minutes

Not so tuff in my review

Our husky tore this toy apart within about 20 minutes of play-time. He enjoyed it but I wish it would’ve lasted longer. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Engages your dog's natural hunting instincts
Cons
  • May not be as tough as other toys for aggressive chewers

NOT the Worlds Toughest Toy

This product is not at all durable. My 11 month old pit bull puppy destroyed it in an hour. For the price I expected a lot better quality. Save your money.

Pros
  • Great for chewing and teething puppies
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with sensitive teeth

So far so good good for me

We've had this for a few months now and it's holding up great for our young boxer (now he's six months) We have had the toy for 3 weeks and already chewed up. Do not buy these expensive toys. Not worth it!!

Pros
  • 85 pound aggressive chewer- still intact (Mostly) at 3 weeks
Cons
  • We have had the toy for 3 weeks and already chewed up. Do not buy these expensive toys. Not worth it!

Not good choice for aggressive chewers

My puppy tore the ear off after 10minutes of play. The "hair" on the product not a good choice as it pulls out and can easily be a choking hazard for your pet. Would be a good product for pet that is not an aggressive chewer or likes to tear up toys.

Pros
  • Withstands my puppy’s razor teeth, she loves it!
Cons
  • This was the worst toy ever. My dog ripped it to shreds in 1 minute. Not what it was advertised.

No match for a Doberman!

Our Doberman had this toy undone in less than 10 minutes with white fluff everywhere. Not worth the price. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Engages your dog's curiosity with its unique design
Cons
  • May become boring after repeated use

Destroyed in like 12 hours

I bought 2 of these for my pups and both are destroyed within 12 hours of giving them to them. Maybe my dogs are monsters because they looked pretty durable but these bitches tore them up.

Pros
  • Great for pets who enjoy independent playtime
Cons
  • May not be as entertaining as other interactive dog toys

Tuffy WartHog . a good choice

My pooch destroys everything in a matter of hours . this toy made it through the first sessions of play and will last a while . buy like all "chew toys" every toy has a weakness that any pooch will find and exploit. :) Even though the toy was finally opened and emptied of its contents, my pooch still plays with it every day. So it was worth the purchase to me as my dog seems to love it no matter what the condition.

Pros
  • Offers a comfortable grip for pet owners during tug-of-war
Cons
  • May not be as easy to clean as advertised

7 months later and he still loves it

bought this in July and it held up quite well for about a week. much longer than any other toy. it felt like holding a football. here it is now in February. as you can see, he still wants to play with it.

Pros
  • Can handle aggressive chewers
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs with allergies

Best. Toy. Ever. in my review

This toy is so hefty and girthy. Very well made and the material is so thick! Very good toy for an aggressive chewer and shredder! My dog Brooklyn loves this toy so much! I will definitely be buying another one! My dog was surprisingly able to chew a leg off and get the stuffing out. But it took a lot of effort for her to accomplish this! The stuffing looks like shredded cotton and not like that cheap poly fill that is in cheap toys. This one is way nicer and safer! It has some weight to the…

Pros
  • Suitable for all life stages of your furry friend
Cons
  • May not be as durable as toys made from other materials

Seams ripped in less than a month

While I appreciate this brand, the warthog’s seams ripped on the second day my dog had it. The pterodactyl lasted three weeks before a seam ripped. These two shapes of the toy did not stand up to the same rigor as other Tuffy toys.

Pros
  • World’s Tuffest Soft Dog Toy"™ on the market, with up to 4 layers of fabric!
Cons
  • Didn’t last a week . It lasted 2 days before my dog destroyed the toy.

Toughness rating.why?

I will never purchase another Tuffy dog toy. As explained to me, toughness rating 1-10, is based on total supervision and/or interactive play. So why rate them? I can by a $3 toy and take it away if my dog gets too rough.

Pros
  • Gives your dog a healthy outlet for their energy
Cons
  • May not be suitable for rough play

Holds up to aggressive chewers!

Tuffy toys are the ONLY ones that hold up to our German Shepherd. We’ve tried all the other toys for aggressive chewers and he makes short work of them. We keep multiple Tuffy toys around at the same time so he doesn’t focus his destruction on one at a time. He loves them and carries them around with him.

Pros
  • Made with strong and durable materials
Cons
  • May not withstand prolonged exposure to water

Great toy for 15 minutes

My dog, a border collie mix, has had this toy for 15 minutes and has already chewed a hole in the forehead area of the toy. Not for serious chewers.

Pros
  • The perfect toy to play fetch with
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with a high prey drive
