Not as Tuff as Tuffies make them out to be

Destroyed within a couple days by my Boarder Collie/Australian Sheppard puppies. Really thought it was going to last longer but they ripped right through the seams. For how much these cost, I wont be buying any of the animal shaped toys anymore.

Pros
  • Helps keep dogs engaged and entertained for long periods
Cons
  • Can be too big for some dogs to play with comfortably

Lions, Tigers, Bears, and Pit Bulls, Oh my!

My dog loves her Tuffy elephant! For quite a while now we have had such a hard time finding her toys that will last longer than a few hours or a few days. My baby got jaws like a wolf! So I was beyond excited to come across Tuffy toys and learn that they tested their products on some of the biggest predators like lions, tiger and bears.Oh my! She has finally met her match with the Tuffy toys!

Pros
  • Provides a great option for dogs who are sensitive to firm toys
Cons
  • Can be too heavy for some dogs to carry

Far from "Tuff ": my feedback

What a disapointment! My 9 month old Golden Retriever has chewed off the ears, tail and tusks within two hours of removing the tags! I'll be lucky if this makes it until the weekend! For nearly $18 I expected this toy to last a bit longer. Two stars only because it's cute.

Pros
  • Provides a great way to encourage dogs to get outside and play
Cons
  • May not be as stimulating for dogs as advertised

Boston Terrier Destroyed in 15 Minutes

Bummer! I was hoping our boston terrier would love this toy for a few days (at least) before he destroyed it. This toy is adorable and feels really strong but our little guy ripped it up with 15/20 minutes of opening it. It has a tough number of 8 so was disappointed that it was so easily taken apart. I've been buying these Tuffy toys for years, my dog likes them. I'm hoping there are more animals made in the future that are large like this one that last longer.I'm still on the lookout for a…

Pros
  • Made with extra-strong stitching to prevent tearing
Cons
  • May not be as easy for dogs to catch as advertised

Super cute good for me

It is super cute, but is actually bigger than my puppy right now, so she will have to wait to play with this one. She does love the pink pig of the same type, and plays with it every day. Admittedly a pretty tough and well-made toy for a teething pup!

Pros
  • Perfect for indoor and outdoor play
Cons
  • May not be as interactive as other toys

Not strong enough for my pitubll

My dogged ripped off the ears, tusks and leg off first day.He got a good amount of stuffing out but integrity of the toy isn't ruined just yet so he's still having fun with itIt's very sturdy for a toy, I'm impressed with the feel and quality of it, its well made. My dog is just too much for this toy.

Pros
  • Provides a safer alternative to traditional hard plastic or rubber toys
Cons
  • May not be as easy for owners to use as advertised

Great Dog Toy: my feedback

Toy was a bit larger than I thought but our dog loves it. He destroys toys in less than an hour and we are going on a couple weeks. Material seems fairly durable and the construction is high quality. The weak point is the black border material. Our dog is able to pull out the thread on other Tuffy toys.Would buy again.

Pros
  • Solid fir biters
Cons
  • It was cute but only it only lasted 15 minutes. Not very durable.

Great for aggressive chewers

Although my dog did remove the stuffing, she still enjoys playing with the toy. Although no toy is completely chew proff, these Tuffy toys last the longest in our house.

Pros
  • Provides a great way to keep dogs occupied while owners are away
Cons
  • May not be as suitable for outdoor use as advertised

Durable! Tough! for my opinion

Very durable for a very large chewy dog! He LOVES his elephant! Tosses him in the air and takes him everywhere. He finally ripped off the trunk of the smaller version but this one has thus far only lost his tail. The larger one is the best!

Pros
  • Ideal for senior dogs who need a low-impact play option
Cons
  • May not be as appealing to dog owners as other toys on the market

I LOVE tuffy toys for my opinion

I LOVE tuffy toys, but I was extremely disappointed in this one. The design allows for the trunk to tear off easily. my dog ripped it up in about 2 days of playing tug of war and she weighs 14 lbs. :(

Pros
  • We just love our Fluff & Tuff toys! They hold up well and are just adorable.
Cons
  • My super chewer had this elephant dissected in minutes.

Not Tough Tuffy: my feedback

I am so unhappy with the purchase. I was so excited to buy a product that really gauranteed to be tough against my dogs teeth. She is a 10 month old lab who within 10 minutes already got the stuffing out. For $17 I except something that lasts at least 17 minutes!

Pros
  • Squeak Toys
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs that are sensitive to loud noises

Didn’t last 15 minutes

Within 15 minutes 7 month old puppy had stuffing coming out. Very expensive toy to last such a short time. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Can help improve dogs' socialization skills
Cons
  • Can cause injury to dogs if used improperly

Can't recommend these toys, for dogs who go hard, enough

Love Tuffy toys. This one is a little thicker, so my dog has a little tougher (get it?!? lolsnort) time with it, but she loves it. Can't recommend these toys, for dogs who go hard, enough

Pros
  • Floats in water for added entertainment at the beach or pool
Cons
  • Can be heavy for small dogs to play with

Not LABRADOR TOUGH!

made very well but it took my labs under 5 minutes to gnaw an end open and pull the stuffing out.the video was 7 minutes into Operation Destuff Elephant. Lol. They at least had a really good time!

Pros
  • Provides an excellent way to bond with rescue dogs or new pets
Cons
  • May not be as good for interactive play as advertised

BEST TOY FOR AGGRESSIVE CHEWERS!

My Dog, who is a very aggressive chewer, LOVES her elephant. It is the first thing she grabs in the morning, she sleeps with him and she always grabs him when she is excited to see you. She has had the toy since April and has yet to destroy him. We even named him "Mr. Elephant" original, I know! but yeah I could not rant about this toy more. She absolutely loves it and I like that I have finally found a toy that she cannot destroy. I mean some of the toy is ripped and torn (see photo)…

Pros
  • Can help improve dogs' listening skills when used as part of training exercises
Cons
  • Can be too noisy for some dogs to play with

stood up to my 85lbs pit

I am thoroughly impressed with the products tuffy puts out, strong multi-layers with great stitching, if you have a strong dog, I can very easily say this is worth the money.I bought a bunch of the tuffy toys for my pit, who at most will get 3 days out of a toy, but it is usually ruined within the hour. I got this elephant about 2 months ago, there is a small rip by one of the ears, but it is sitting in bed with my pit as I type this. This is nothing short of a miracle, the elephant is by far…

Pros
  • A perfect option for teething puppies
Cons
  • Can be a choking hazard if small pieces are ingested

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHEWERS

This elephant toy is very large and durable, but not tough enough for my boxer/pit mix who had it ripped open in less than 15 minutes. Stuffed to the max, so with it's size there is a lot of fluff to clean up after this happens. If your dog is not a chewer and is over 50 pounds, than I would recommend. If your dog is a chewer do not waste $17+ on a toy for 10 minutes!

Pros
  • Intended for interactive play and NOT for chewing
Cons
  • May not be suitable for aggressive chewers

Can't play with the big dogs

I bought Lobster Dog Toy from the same brand and he lasted a LOT longer than the elephant. Don't get me wrong, Sam still plays with the toy but the stitching was torn much easier and we have to stuff the elephant more compared to other toys for the same price. Next time I am going to order another Lobster since he lasted longer

Pros
  • An affordable and long-lasting toy for pet owners
Cons
  • May not be as versatile as advertised

Cute, but not “tuff” enough

Cute toy, seems durable unless your dog is a chewer like mine (11 month old vizsla/gsd mix). Unfortunately he destroyed it in under ten minutes. If your dog isn’t truly an aggressive chewer like mine, it’s probably a good buy.

Pros
  • Encourages exercise and promotes a healthy lifestyle for dogs
Cons
  • May not be as easy to grip for dogs to play with

Not worth it good for me

Product arrived June 27, by today, July 22, our puppy (7 months, 33 lbs mini Goldendoodle) has torn off the little tail, both ears, and ripped a hole in the elephant. This is not the only toy our puppy plays with.for the money, not worth it. I do not reccomend the item.

Pros
  • This is a great product my dog loves it
Cons
  • Doesn't have a Tail, one tusk is gone...but it lasted longer than the ocean creature
