No corrosion resistance

Don't trust this in an environment where corrosion will occur. I installed it 2 months before the end of the Minnesota winter and it couldn't be removed by the end of the following summer. The lock was so rusted that it could no longer be turned. I had to saw off the shaft to remove it. Maybe Arizona would be better.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Functionality

Great hitch pin, best in hitch locks

This is my second for my second truck. Would recommend anyway. Great pin, love the color because it doesn't stand out. That way nobody will notice that it is a safety pin or that it is even present. The locking mechanism is very well protected from the elements and there have been no problems with anything getting into the lock.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some little things

Pretty smooth as the clutch pins go.

I purchased this to attach a hitch mounted skid plate to my 2015 4Runner. Works as expected, compact, does not rattle. The black finish looks nice but is cosmetic and is easily removed from contact with the hitch during installation and removal. Of course, that's not a deal breaker for me, but I suppose some buyers might get bored with it.

GARDEN HOSE WASHERS REQUIRED!

Appears to be a quality hitch lock. Just get rid of stress and worry about its duration. Buy a cheap bag of garden hose cleaners to fill up your space. I bought a pack of these for less than $2 from Lowe's and they fit like a glove. Only four stars instead of five because, especially given their length, they should have included some spacers.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Secure your valuable clutch or clutch cover

I bought this to protect my clutch block Factor 55 protection of a working receiver this is what you need. I bought mine to restore and had no problems. I also like that there is a cover for the locking toggles because I ride mine off-road so there is a lot of dirt and grime so I like that these things are kept from getting into the locking mechanism.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Negative impression

Not impressed. best exterior accessory

A small trailer was being driven around town and I was a bit surprised at the wear and tear on first use. Also, my lock doesn't completely hide the taper of the stock, making it vulnerable to relatively quick cuts with a saw. Three stars because it still prevents the occasional crime, but it could definitely be better. Also, I'm pretty sure you could stick a 1 1/2 inch gas line into the lock end of this thing and pick the lock relatively silently in about 2 seconds. Yet again. I think it hitsโ€ฆ

This coupling pin, like all coupling pins

I've had this unit for a year, I've used it maybe 10 times and the locking head came loose when I barely hit the hitch on my 5x10 trailer. This clutch pin, like all clutch pins, can slide from side to side, but the problem with this device is that when the device slides all the way to the locking end, pressure can be applied to the weakest part of the clutch pin, where the shaft cone is for the locking mechanism. that's about 1/3 the diameter of the hitch pin. This is a very STUPID design thatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • , can slide from side to side.
Cons
  • Overall ok but...
