Worked great/better than NSM5. 500 foot hurdles. Edited for big TIP!

At first I used a pair of NSM5s to carry our 108Mbit connection. It goes through 3-4 drywall/wood paneling walls, possibly a few trees. NSM5 was working but the signal strength fluctuated between 2-3 bars. The signal strength was -76 to -80 which is not very good. The speed test showed 24 Mbps on a good day. I bought another pair of NSM2's as I read they work better with obstacles. Immediately after purchase, I noticed that the signal strength is 4 bars no matter which way you look. Taking itโ€ฆ

GREAT AP/Bridge! I haven't found a better device yet.

The NanoStation M2 is ideal for hotspots or communication scenarios between home and a shop or friends' house. You will walk 5 miles using LOS. Combined with some of today's most expensive wireless routers, their output power was about 10 dBm higher, allowing for higher throughput with better signals. The reload time is only 10 seconds after an update and that leaves the client or user offline for a very short time when updates are required. The weather conditions this was tested in were asโ€ฆ

Ideal as a WiFi hotspot to extend the range of an existing network

I received this antenna after much research and consideration. I had to extend my current Wi-Fi coverage by about 400-500 feet to share with family members and it worked great. Using Youtube's simple guide to crosstalk solutions, I was able to set it up as a hotspot very easily. Just remember to set a static IP on your computer before attempting to access the antennas. It's currently mounted on a visor on my roof, pointing in the direction of the houses I wanted to signal. The spread is amazing

Very Good Access Point

I used this to get a Wi-Fi signal about 400ft from my router. Cable 100ft Blue (Revain #B0795M9N71 $37.99). First: Factory reset the Nanostation M2. .0CAT5 from PC Ethernet port to POE + CAT7 from POE to NSM2 main port. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the NSM2 in the search bar: 192.168.1.20. current firmware. (airOS SYSTEM tab) SYSTEM Administrative username: (user chosen name) Password: (user chosen password) Change NETWORKIP address: 192.168.1.20 (default) Netmaskโ€ฆ

This is the WiFi extender you've been looking for!

If you've been looking for a way to project a Wi-Fi signal over a distance, this is for you. I've been looking for a wifi signal in our guesthouse for a year. Tried several wifi boosters and none worked. I landed on this nanostation while reading about something else. I've read reviews of people using this to capture Wi-Fi in their RVs, workshops, and other buildings outside their homes and if they've worked for them. I ordered a NanoStation and Ubiquiti airGateway-LR airMAX WISP 2.4GHz (aโ€ฆ

After all! Great product that works as advertised!

My house is located in such a way that Comcast (due to lack of interest or poor customer service - I'll leave it to you) doesn't want to run cable into my house. My only choice for internet is DSL or satellite. Satellite got such bad reviews online that I avoided it. DSL stayed. Well, we've had DSL for 10 years - with 1.5 Mbit/s - ie Third World Internet. After much discussion with Century Link, it became clear that they would NOT improve my situation. Then my son bought a house about 600 feetโ€ฆ

Can I give this product six stars? Ten? We have a barn about 300 meters from the house. He has no power. We want to use WiFi there. After a long search I came across Ubiquiti products. Indeed, this is a powerful radio. Connect it to your network with an Ethernet cable and you're a broadcaster. Set it up as a hotspot (access point) and you have Wi-Fi many hundreds of meters away. It's directional, but so strong that I get a signal all over the house and also in and around the barn. I gotโ€ฆ
