Type of review

This compound works perfectly for sealing joints in industrial and scientific settings. After I put it to the test, I was impressed with its durability and strength. It's easy to apply and dries quickly, which saves time and makes the job easier. The only downside is that it's a bit more expensive than some other caulking compounds out there.

Pros
  • Durable and strong, easy application, quick drying time.
Cons
  • Pricey compared to some competitors.

Most labor intensive 'mud' in fast set mode

Durabond is the best 'build and fill' joint sealer in my opinion. It sets like concrete and is not easy to sand, but leaves enough room for a top coat or two and you get the best of both worlds. Great for taping corner seams (the wider the better) including adding 90 degree corners over an old fillet when you want a more modern look and don't want to take the old stuff off. If you fill the new cornice so that there is no gap between old and new, it will never fail.

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
