This remote control is a piece of junk. The setup was cake but it has to be within 6ft of the TV. The remote control must be pointed directly at the TV's sensor to work. It also temporarily switches the input source to your Samsung TV when you press the volume up button or the right arrow button.

Came in one day, saved the day, ding-dong kid threw it away. At least he cleaned the basement. It took a little while to learn the keys out of the box as there is no indication of what the ABCD keys actually do, but it works, that's all I ask.

Kind of factory remote "lost", eaten by gremlins etc Bought this based on reviews and just put in two AAA batteries and it works no other work, no programming etc, just works. It's best to believe that this will happen to me all week! It glows and shines a little damn brighter than the other factory Samsung I have in the other room. I'm happy.

This remote control replaces the original remote that came with our Samsung TV. It worked as promised. I was surprised. I put batteries in the remote and pointed it at the TV and Shazam! I ordered this remote control in the early hours of Friday morning and received it a few minutes ago (Saturday 2:30pm). I put in a couple of AAA batteries, pointed it at the Samsung TV and voila, it works with no issues. The new remote control is larger, the volume and channel buttons are brightly lit. The first time I put batteries in it worked straight away. I was able to change channels, use the guide button as well as the info button. The channel up/down button worked fine as did the volume button etc. Unfortunately the next day the guide button stopped working, the information button stopped working and the up/down button stopped working.
