Great Tool best in my review

My son used this on his HellCat and it was so easy to get the lock ring off. No more punch and hammer. If you remove fuel tank lids covers frequently then this is a must.

Pros
  • This tool brings the fuel system to its full potential by providing a safe and secure lock of the fuel tank, resulting in a smoother fuel flow
Cons
  • May be difficult to use on vehicles with complex fuel delivery systems

Did the job on my review.

Used tool to remove fuel pump locking ring on 2013 Mustang Convertible with V6. Tried using a punch and screw driver before ordering tool and was not able to remove ring due to need to push down on ring while removing. Was able to remove ring immediately with tool. However, removing ring from access hole was another story since ring has a larger diameter than access hole.

Pros
  • ‎Sunluway
Cons
  • Could be difficult to find replacement parts or service if needed

The lock ring tool fits 2009 Santa Fe perfectly

My fuel gauge started going haywire and a few weeks later the check engine light came on. Testing this told me that fuel sensor "A" was at fault, so I knew the one on the driver's side was bad. I bought the kit of 2 sensors and o-rings, but changed just the driver's side, which solved the fuel gauge problem after a few tanks of gas. I don't know why the delay in working properly. Other reviewers had said that sometimes the check engine light would result in engine shut-off, so I minimized…

Great Tool - A Real Time Saver

I needed to replace the fuel pump on my 2013 Chrysler 300s. I was very happy to find this tool on Revain and for a lot less. This tool is a must for the DIY mechanic. It took me less than 5 minutes to remove the retaining ring, pull and replace the fuel pump. This tool made me look like a Pro.I definitely recommend this tool for the serious DIY home mechanic.

Pros
  • Gas tank ring removal
Cons
  • Not compatible with vehicles that use a different type of fuel delivery system

Needed in a jam in my review

I bought this as a safety net when a fuel pump went out on one of our trucks, Glad I did too. You can get the lock ring off beating it around, we used the tool and it was much easier and less risk of damage. However it really shined when getting it back on! It made reinstall so much easier than trying to beat it back on.

Pros
  • Fuel System
Cons
  • Could be less effective on fuel pump senders located in unusually tight spaces

So much easier using this

Tried the hammer and large screw driver like I have before but the lock ring would not budge. With this it clicked right in. I used a half inch, 14inch long breaker bar with this tool and it made the job a lot easier.

Pros
  • Reduced maintenance cost: You can now save yourself from costly car repairs with the help of this tool, which eliminates fuel leaks and other associated problems
Cons
  • Could be less effective on fuel pump senders located in hard-to-reach areas

Well worth it: my feedback

Used it on my 2006 Silverado. Fit perfectly. My lock ring was so rusted it wouldn't budge until I used this. Worth every penny.

Pros
  • Very well made could be compared to high end mac or snap-on tools worked perfectly.
Cons
  • Could be incompatible with certain fuel pump sender models

Worked on 2011 Ford Escape v6

I had to apply great amount of force to turn. A long breaker bar for leverage. The tool matches the ring perfectly. That's my review!

Pros
  • Perfect to remove fuel pump.
Cons
  • May require additional tools to fully remove/replace fuel pump senders

Did the job: my feedback

Used it when replacing the fuel sensors. You do need a big 1/2" drive breaker bar since the locking rings are stiff. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Safe to use
Cons
  • Could be less effective on fuel pump senders that have been in use for a long time

Fits '08 Caddy DTS

Works perfectly. Fits any 7.25" OD metal lock rings with 7 sets of notches & clamps. I got it off OK with a hammer & punch, but it would not go on (even with an air hammer). Ordered this tool. It fit snug and went on effortlessly with a 1/2" breaker bar. PS, I pre-lubed all surfaces & o-ring with petrolium jelly.

Pros
  • Professional-grade
Cons
  • May not provide enough leverage for effective fuel pump sender removal/installation

You need this: my feedback

I used this to tighten the fuel pump locking collar on my 2004 Ford Ranger. The collar came off easily with a hammer and screwdriver, but no way was it going back on the same way. I was concerned that I would damage the fuel tank by pounding on it or even drive the screwdriver through the top of the tank or worse yet slip with the screwdriver and break a nipple off the new fuel pump. I found this and it worked great. I cleaned the mating surface of the collar and fuel tank of rust and applied…

Pros
  • You can count on this tool to perform efficiently for years on end, ensuring that your fuel system operates at peak performance
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on vehicles with severe rust or corrosion on the fuel tank

Works like a charm! Must have.

This worked perfectly to do the fuel pump on our 2012 Ford Escape 3.0. I can’t imagine trying to do this job without it. In my case the ring was stubborn coming off but went back on easily. Lubrication of the o-ring seal is probably the reason. I used a long breaker bar for removal but I think I could’ve used a cordless impact driver if I was careful. Well worth the money.

Pros
  • No more hitting the ring with a hammer . Saves you energy trying to get the ring off
Cons
  • Could be easily lost or misplaced due to its small size

DEF tank removal on my review.

Fit perfectly to remove the DEF pump on my Ram Cummins. The universal kits just slipped off no matter how much I tightened it down. Well worth the money.

Pros
  • Correct fit for fuel pump locking ring
Cons
  • Was unable to unlock plate for fuel tank. Had to go old school

Must have product (works for 05 f150)

Must have product for replacing a fuel pump on my 05 F150. Most important thing is to keep your breaker bar level when using it or it will bend the retainer ring. Couldn’t have replaced the fuel pump on my 700,000+ mile f150 without it.

Pros
  • This fuel tank lock ring tool is designed to fit various car models from Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GM, Nissan, and Jeep Wrangler, promising you a versatile performance
Cons
  • Could potentially break or damage the fuel level sensor during removal/installation

Just buy it. for my opinion

As much as you probably don't like spending the money on a tool that you'll use once in your life, or maybe more if you do this alot, just buy it. People and youtube videos will tell you that you can do this with a punch, or a big pair of channel lock pliers. Yeah, maybe in a perfect scenario that will work. For our work to replace the fuel pump on a 2005 Tahoe, even with this wrench which worked perfectly, I had to sit on the floor with my feet against the tank, with a 36" 1/2 breaker bar…

Pros
  • Lock Rings & Seals
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on vehicles with aftermarket fuel pumps or filters

Really works: my feedback

This tool works. The fuel pump ring was rusted on and couldn’t be removed after three hours of trying. Used the lock ring tool with a 40” breaker bar an was able to remove the ring and replace the fuel pump. Couldn’t be more satisfied with my purchase.

Pros
  • Heavy duty design and good fit.
Cons
  • Limited availability in certain regions or countries

Worked for 2018 Hellcat Challenger

Worked perfectly. Way better than trying to hammer out the "hat" of the fuel pump with a hammer and flathead screwdriver.

Pros
  • It worked great. I would sell it very cheaply, since it was only a one time use for me!
Cons
  • May require additional cleaning of the fuel tank area after use

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for tight places.

Bought this for a Chrysler 300. Access panel is right up against the seat back, so very tight place to to get the locking ring off. This made it mildly easy and fast.

Pros
  • Sturdy and works perfectly
Cons
  • Require a considerable amount of force to effectively remove/replace fuel pump senders

Great Tool But Not the Right Size for my vehicle

This fuel pump locking ring spanner wrench is very well made, sturdy, and nicely finished. At the price it is a great value for the vehicles it is intended to fit. Unfortunately, I apparently misread the product description and fitment guide and this particular part WILL NOT fit the locking ring on a 2003-2007 Nissan Murano. Sadly, I waited too long to get around to this particular job by which time the return window had closed. This wrench is for a larger diameter locking ring than the one on…

Pros
  • ‎SY6599
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on vehicles with high mileage or wear

Works on def pumps too.

I used this tool on removing the def pump on a 2016 Ram3500. I had tried a punch and hammer for an hour but this tool works great and in one minute it takes the lock ring off. Very stout tool and fit perfectly.Yes, worth the money for just one job.

Pros
  • Time-saving
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on vehicles with electric or hybrid fuel systems
