🔧 Improved Design Blower Resistor Replacement for GM 4p1516 Mt1805 Ru-631 Ja1639 Bmr34 Review

This was installed and worked fine until it broke after 3 months. I had to take another one from other places. DO NOT YOU UNDERSTAND.

It was advertised as a reasonable/updated replacement for my Chevy Trailblazer's factory drag but it turned out to not really fit. Had to return it and got one that was an exact 1 for 1 replacement that worked perfectly.

Works as it should for my '05 Duramax fan kept running even after removing the key from the ignition Replaced this part and the fan is working as it should again. Two small screws are held in place, I believe they were 5.5mm, and a couple of electrical connections that are really easy to replace.

My AM radios get glitchy when the fan is on as I have it set unless the fan is running at max. You can hear intermittent noises when the fan is on. The resistance works; air escaping from the ventilation slots and when installing a factory part.

Fan controller worked great. I had no hiss on the radio or CD player. I wasn't subscribed to XM Radio so I turned it off. It works perfectly with no noise or glitches. The noise other people have reported may have been caused by the proximity of an XM module mounted next to the fan resistor.

My fan didn't work at all so I replaced the resistor with this device and the fan worked again. The clicks began. I replaced the fan with a new high quality Acdelco fan and it makes the same click. So now I'm going to buy the correct Delco AC resistor part number 1581773 for my Silverado with digital automatic thermostat control.

The first install in a week failed! The reason was the penetration of water into the area around the electronics. It was not sealed, so water (condensate) could collect on the resistor. We requested a new one under warranty, which was sent to us promptly. We sealed the new one with silicone so it wouldn't break like the first one. So after reading all the other reviews about loud clicks I thought mine was an exception for some reason. Well it didn't. part works. But I'll never listen to that sound. This is a type of electrical interference, you can also hear clicks through the speakers! It's not a slightly loud click, but one so loud that no one in their right mind would want to use it. After my mechanic installed this part, it didn't work as well as my old one until it broke.
