Runs great and looks great!

I love this new kettle. I had an expensive matte black teapot but it was starting to look pretty bad. This one looks great in our kitchen. The wife agreed. It flows in a steady stream. First I cleaned it, then I wiped it with boiling water with a paper towel. The towel was covered with a small black residue.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Quality

Impressive! on teapots

Very impressed! Well made, fit and finish are very good. The lid clicks into place with little effort. I have seen other well known brand swan neck teapots in shops and this one seems to be of a higher quality and at a lower price! The bottom is magnetic, unlike the others it has to be of another brand of stainless steel for heating. Let me know if rust becomes a problem.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Infinitely lazy

Simmering nice and fast, still going strong

Update 10/2/21: It's been about a year and this thing is picking up steam. Some wear out but nothing else, still looks good. A year later I added 3 photos of what it looks like. I look at other reviews and Revain is full of savages who don't care what they buy. SMH. I really like the look of this teapot. It boils quickly but I have trouble with the water boiling and pouring out the spout. I'm not sure I overfilled it, but it definitely lets you know it's done. However, it feels solid and…

Must have for coffee and tea making

The main purpose of this purchase is to brew coffee in bulk. I found it very easy to control the flow. It did the job well. In addition, the handler is not hot. What immediately catches the eye is the build quality and the cooking seems quick and the heat holds up well. I love that part too. I also found the thermometer very handy as I also use it to brew different teas like green tea, black tea, oolong tea. You need a different boiling point, once it reaches the desired temperature I can…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Slightly torn

The sickening smell of burnt plastic filled. My kitchen was also giving me a headache. Washed several times before first use. Even before the water got warm, it began to smoke from all sides. I made a video and some photos. It's been 30 minutes and there's still a smell of burnt plastic downstairs. A shameful result for something that should be safe to consume. I'm definitely sending it back. Update: now boil water in it about 5 times to see if the smoking and smell stop. It still smokes and…

What the hell did I just buy?

Well it looks classy/cool and is well made. It seems that the grip can become a weak point at some point. But then I poured some water in it and it started smoking like crazy and giving off a disgusting smell! It smells like burnt plastic or chemicals. I only filled it 3/4 full and as the water boiled it overflowed from the lid. As I was cleaning up the mess on my induction hob, the black trim along the bottom ring immediately came off. I'll let it cool and try another one or two to see if it…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Only available in black

Seems well made and the temp sensor is accurate

I'm tired of manually measuring the water temp and waiting for it to drop to the right temp for my french press (I fill 200 degrees). I got it because the price was good at the time ($38.51 when I ordered it on April 11, 2020, current price on April 26 is $46.99) and the pot looked good. I washed it before first use and then measured the water and put it on a regular flame stove. So far there has been no odor or color shedding, and the temperature reading has been surprisingly accurate. After…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Compatibility

I don't know why people are complaining about this kettle. What these reviewers don't understand is that you have to fill this thing with water to the max every time you boil water; Otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the kettle when there is not enough water because the HIGH HEAT WILL DAMAGE THE THERMOMETER AND KETTLE. The water helps lower the temperature inside the kettle and keeps the kettle from exceeding 212F. There is practically no water in the kettle, the heat completely destroys…
