Upgrade Your Subaru Impreza WRX Or Forester XT With A TD04 Turbocharger! Review

Absolutely junk, my old turbo burned 2 quarts of oil every 100 miles, the shaft play on the old turbo with 142k miles was LESS than what was on this turbo. This went on a stock 2007 wrx as a replacement, NOT to add more boost, this turbo produced absolutely no boost and was suffocating my engine. So in the process of this company selling bad parts I almost lost my engine too. And to top things off when i contacted the company they did not want to do a single thing for me, they wouldn’t let me…

Direct fit for my 2004 forester xt. Makes fantastic boost (17psi or so) on a 250k motor. Does come with gaskets, however I used Grimmspeed double thickness gaskets. Turbo does burn off excess oil used from manufacturer to keep from rusting so just be aware of that. I have had zero issues with it for over 5k miles now.

Currently undergoing the installation of this turbo right now and it fits right into my 04 WRX just like OEM. For a cheaper turbo it's actually built quite well and it's also balanced. I have yet to drive with it in yet because I'm currently replacing other parts as well but I will post an update once I get a good feel for its performance. Also definelty replace your factory oil feed line and return hose while you have it apart.
