The ball is near the adjustable hitch.

The ball is only 1 1/8" from the adjustable hitch. Not enough room to hitch a trailer. This is a flawed design. If you use 2 5/16, plenty Good luck, because you will probably be disappointed.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some issues

Do not buy this item

Do not buy this item. First ride on my 16 foot boat and the bolt holding the 2 inch ball in place shears off. When I lowered the boat and parked the trailer, I was able to get the entire ball out of the hitch. I don't know how I didn't lose my boat on the freeway. I have towed my boat 750 miles in Canada. The only thing holding the ball back was the weight of the tongue. I contacted the company directly and received no response.

  • Robust construction

The main problem of security!

Serious security issue! The first time the clutch was used the set screw broke and the ball flew right out of the clutch! The problem with the hitch is that the set screw is the only thing holding the ball. So if you're towing something that's moving down the road, bumping into bumps and anything on the road, the trailer will pull the ball up and down, and the only thing holding the ball. in 1 set screw, so all the weight and force is on that set screw only.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Too much slop and games. Buy something else. One more thing.

This is very sloppy and too much backlash to use. You can't bet Β£12,000 on it. The ball swings in the holder. The bracket sits loosely on the shaft. The shaft is loose in the receiver. Customs service. I deactivated it immediately and received a refund. It's garbage. The amount of play on this leads to jitter issues and a potential loss of control.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Obsolete model

I would put 0 if possible. Open box The block is full of dents on the back of the clutch. I don't pay attention to it as it is a tool and not a decorative element. I then approached the trailer with the correct ball and bow hitch when it was in the straight position. That way it will bind every time you turn around. This is on a standard PJ car trailer then I tried my closed trailer and same thing. Well, in terms of bullet swapping, that's great, but if that doesn't work for followers from…

Received mine today, looked at it, seems quite well built, especially for the price. I'll try to remember to update this when I have a few miles in tow. Pros: price, aluminum, interchangeable/detachable balls, easy height adjustment, and the ability to toggle on and off from the top or bottom. Cons: My locking pins weren't the key as advertised (minor issue but worth noting), the screws securing the screws could be longer in my opinion (I'll probably swap mine out for longer ones soon, just…

Completely unsure! best in External Accessories

The tolerances on this device really need to be checked by the manufacturer. I almost never write a review, even if something is really bad, but I can't believe this product has so many good reviews. There is so much slack in the receiver link that I could put the full length of a flathead in it. I was hauling a single 5,000lb load and the constant jerking from loose connections was ridiculous. This will destroy your transmission. Don't even buy it because now the company I bought it from is…

Too casual to be acceptable

I just received this and once I had the two main components together I made my decision. He comes back. The landing is so messy. There is approx. 1 mm play in each direction between the two main parts. The ball with the pin rattles with probably 0.01 inch play. The pins that hold the ball bearing on the shaft have significant play in the holes. And that is the most pleasant. The receiver shaft has about 2mm of play in a 2 inch diameter receiver. I was done before I even got to that point, but I

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Sparse instructions

First, the manufacturer clearly listened and made some much-needed changes. Gone are the socket head screws that only held the hitch balls on one side. There is now a through hole in the ball stud and a larger diameter pin that goes through to eliminate the weakness of the studs when they break. There is now plenty of room even with a 2 5/16" ball. First impressions are that this is a solid and well built construction. I would like the moving vertical piece to have a solid back rather than a C…
