Works, leaks B-way

Fixed the power steering leak. Word to the wise, make sure you keep your old o-ring (if it's still serviceable) or you'll be stuck getting a new one

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Fits 2002 530i. suitable for aftermarket

This was the culprit for a leak on my 2002 530i. Very easy to replace once you've removed everything else. ATF is no longer leaking from the power steering pump reservoir, although I replaced it too.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Good but not great

Perfect for 98 BMW 528i

Perfect for my 98 528i and fixed a power steering leak. Installation wasn't that difficult, but I had to remove the air filter housing to get to the bolt that holds the metal end of this hose to the car.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Be sure to clean the metal burr from the pipe before installation!

The power steering hose fitted well but beware: the metal hose at the end had a lot of burrs around the brass tube where it was cut and shaped. I had to use a screwdriver to deburr the edges and then use an air hose to blow any metal shavings out of the tube to keep them off my power steering pump. They can be hard to see in photos, but this flare went all the way around the pipe and amounted to 5 or 6 large flakes by the time I finished deburring. Remember you will also need a Viton O-ring for

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are imperfections
