For $9 you can't go wrong. OE quality seems to have solved my ignition issues on my 2003 Audi A4 1.8t quattro. The immobilizer turned off the engine after starting it several times in a row while the immobilizer light on the dash was flashing. The key was not recognized due to a broken old switch. I used some dielectric grease on the connectors when installing the new one and it works great! I had a broken ignition on my '04 Jetta GLI. This causes my air conditioner, fan, headlights, wipers, etc. to not work.
