Looks great on my desk

I use a USB3 dock for all my video, audio and peripherals and I connect it to a USB3 switch to switch between my home and work computers. I used a Plugable USB 3.0 Sharing Switch and it worked great, but since I had to connect the dock to one side and computer to the other, I couldn't put it on my desk for easy access without the USB cables on the same side with the switch (see fig.). I like to hide the cables on the table as much as possible, so this annoyed me. After a long search I finally…

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Security

It would be great if it had two USB-A ports for mouse and keyboard.

Nice looks. That means no more juggling keyboards and mice on the desk during Rona's quarantine. I prefer the top button design as the device is less likely to slide. Unfortunately, the product label is in Korean and I can't decipher the maximum allowable plug-in load. I think I need to buy a small USB hub for keyboard and mouse. I used these cable clips to hold the USB cables and ensure the device stays in place; https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BQ2MWT3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?i…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not the best

Works (sort of) - Introduces weird delays with wireless keyboards.

Whenever I plugged my keyboard into a hub running through the switch, I occasionally experienced random input lags of up to a second. They go away when I connect the hub directly to my computer. Different computers, different motherboards didn't matter. Actually, I have no explanation other than bad electrical heat tracing inside.

Pros
  • One-year trial period
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I have been looking for a passive KVM for my office and this box performs very well for the price. I use it with gaming mice and USB DACs and it's looking good so far. I've noticed that sometimes my keyboard needs to be unplugged and plugged back in, but that's so rare it doesn't matter.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No Performance

It may be 5 stars

Plug and play without adjustment: 5 stars Fits like an extension cord: 5 stars Small, elegant design; looks good: 5 stars This may be causing the lag and/or static clicks I hear on playback: 1 star I haven't determined yet if this hub is the source of this audio interference, it's a big issue for me. All other aspects of the product are amazing, especially at its price point. Will be updated after further investigation.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Appearance

Not worth the hassle

I used it for a few weeks after I bought it. Now I don't use it anymore. When I plug my USB 3 hub into it and switch between two different computers, sometimes it works. in other cases, devices simply switch off intermittently. I have to physically disconnect my audio interface and reconnect it to the switch after switching the PC. It annoys me that I hardly use it anymore.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Well made and works well for my unusual use.

I use this to switch my music keyboard between iPad and synth so this review may not be that helpful to you. This is an unusual usage, but it shows that this switch works well and is flexible. There is a slight delay when switching, but I believe this is a function of the USB controller in my external devices and has nothing to do with the switching. I really like this USB switch, it is well made, bi-directional, compact and inexpensive. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Long wait

Doesn't work with my USB2 device.

The description says "USB3.0 A-Type connects to USB devices (e.g. printers and scanners)/Switch: Compatible with USB 1.1/2.0/3.0". But when I connect my USB2 audio interface, no computer sees this interface. The interface works with a USB3 device and another USB3 switch I have works with my USB2 device. Delay due to the need to purchase a new product, all due to a misrepresentation in the product description.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some small things

*** Bidirectional ***

Oldschool A/B USB Switch. No fancy lighting or power supply is used. Pros: Bi-directional (hard to find). one input, two outputs (or) two inputs, one output Box and USB connectors are of decent quality. Some reviews say it's too bulky. Do you remember the big brown metal boxes with the big black rotary switch? I'm taking a break from my business :) Needs improvement: The two-button A/B switch on the top of the box feels a bit flimsy. but it works :) My application: a HTPC in the bedroom with…

Pros
  • even the old ones understand
Cons
  • There are new competitors
