Cheap and I think it does the job

Nice tool. Does what it's supposed to do once you understand how it works. This is not the easiest tool to change valve springs.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Out of style

It worked (almost) well for power tools

It worked.once. Too bad I have to remove 14 more feathers. The equipment that comes with it is rubbish. One screw snapped off, the spare screw snapped off. The threads are an unusual size so replacement screws are hard to find unless you thread the threads yourself.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Speed

DO NOT BUY THIS IT WILL NOT WORK AT ALL

Well it just doesn't work with an ls motor head. The compression angle was wrong no matter how you put it together. I managed to compress the springs a bit, but it bottomed out long before you could remove the latches. It also doesn't screw upside down, even with the included spacer. If I hadn't noticed he hit the ground or used a punch he would have broken my head or at least ripped the rocker cords off. Whoever designed this has never touched a valve spring or even seen an electric motor…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not sure

First job with valve spring

I would buy again and recommend. Exactly the same as the others so don't expect Heavy Duty to be an unbreakable immortal product. You get what you pay for. As for my experience, I make my project with my own hands. I'm not a beginner, but I don't have any motor assembly skills (yet). Although there were no instructions, it is easy to understand. Screws are cheap as others have said on other similar items, plan ahead and buy grade 8 screws. I overtightened one of the long screws and it bent but…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Will do
