Great for BJJ. in Sports

Since Matman knee pads are never refilled here, I got tired of waiting and tried these out. I actually think they are better because there are seams between the gel to keep it in place instead of falling apart. Inside is a terry cloth fabric that also seems to keep them in place. I have recommended them to two other friends and they love them too. Yes, the snake and letters will come loose after a few uses. We all use them for BJJ. I will buy again.

Good protection but poor quality

I've been using these 2-3 times a week for about 3 months and they're already breaking and falling apart. Too bad because I really liked the protection and it made a noticeable difference to the aging knees. Despite the cheap price, I just can't feel comfortable with a product that only lasts 3 months before falling apart. And yes, as mentioned, my graphics started peeling almost immediately. Although I really didn't care. But now that the seams have come undone, I know that they will soon endโ€ฆ

Bought these knee pads when I started BJJ

I bought these knee pads when I started BJJ and had a lot of painful bruises on my knees. The knee pads were very comfortable to wear in class even when kneeling in full protection so I would rate this 5 stars for comfort. The jelly around the kneecap softened the problem area and prevented bruising. The material of the insoles is not breathable, so after wearing them for 5 hours in class I got a very uncomfortable rash for a week. After curing the rash with prescription medication, I triedโ€ฆ

Won't buy again

Two main problems. I'll start with one good thing about these pads. I bought these because my current knee pads bunch up behind the knee and irritate the skin. They are definitely better in that regard. The two concerns I have are size and durability. When I first put them on I noticed that the leg fit perfectly and the right leg was loose. I assumed my right leg was smaller than my left. I was wrong. I swapped the pads and found that one pad was larger than the other. Both labels say M/L. Theโ€ฆ

Great for hard workouts BJJ

I use these knee pads at least 5 times a week for BJJ. Before using these knee pads, my knees were very sensitive after exercise and bruised e.g. B. through knee passes, one-leg takedowns, etc. Now that I wear them during training, my knees feel much better. These knee pads provide ample impact protection without being too bulky (they even fit nicely under my pants). I also ran into the same issues that some of the other reviewers have mentioned. 1) Logo stickers peel off almost instantly. andโ€ฆ

GREAT FOR BJJ! Best in Safety Gear

I'm 5'10", 245 lbs, Hispanic with large hips. Always went down the leg or was too tight/constricting. Well my search is over. They stay in place, provide the support/cushioning you need and adhere very well.SIZES - According to the Venum website, measure the circumference of your thigh 10cm (3.93701 inches) above the bottom of your kneecap.I rounded and measured 4" from the bottom of the kneecap which is 19" (48.26cm). Size fits MED 37-38cm (14-14 1/2"), LG 39-40cm (15-15 1/2") 2") and XL 41+โ€ฆ

I've had an Asics Super Sleeve for over a year and am starting.

I've had my Asics Super Sleeve for over a year now and they're starting to wear out. Thought to try this. I made a mistake. Due to the cheap design, the Venum puts extra pressure on the patella and flexes behind the knee. The best knee pads, including Asics, have a separate oval shape, often a thinner, compressed piece that's sewn to the back, allowing the knee pads to flex and fold easily when the knee is fully flexed. The Venum is made from a single piece with a vertical seam at the back that
