Since Matman knee pads are never refilled here, I got tired of waiting and tried these out. I actually think they are better because there are seams between the gel to keep it in place instead of falling apart. Inside is a terry cloth fabric that also seems to keep them in place. I have recommended them to two other friends and they love them too. Yes, the snake and letters will come loose after a few uses. We all use them for BJJ. I will buy again.

Two main problems. I'll start with one good thing about these pads. I bought these because my current knee pads bunch up behind the knee and irritate the skin. They are definitely better in that regard. The two concerns I have are size and durability. When I first put them on I noticed that the leg fit perfectly and the right leg was loose.
