Not recommended for hanging plants on a hook from above. I bought 4 of these 2300w LED lights to hang over my vegetable growing trays. The pulleys attach to 4 shell hooks that screw into the 1x6 boards. So far I am satisfied with the product. I bought these to hang flower baskets on a tree in my garden. The long rope and heavy weight were a big plus. The problem is that they don't work for my application. I bought it because the shutter button is easy to find. Seems to work pretty well, the clips are poor quality and I'll probably replace them. Bought 2 of these to use with hanging 5 gallon camping water bags. They worked great the first time I lifted full water bags 7-8 times and weighed just under 40lbs when almost full.
