Digital temperature is easy to program with a button on the cord. There is no need to remove the heater from the tank or dip your hand in water to set the temperature. Simply place the heater in the tank for 20 minutes to equalize the water temperature with the heater before plugging it in. The heater display shows the water temperature. To set the heating temperature, simply press the button until the desired temperature is reached and then stop. I will buy again.

When I first received this heater I placed it in my aquarium as per the instructions, fully submerged in water. I plugged it in and it started blinking E1. It was a bad sign.
