Not worth the money

It was great from the start. This improved our humidity levels in our living room/kitchen and wasn't gross to look at. Cleaning wasn't the worst as no filters are required, but the silicone mug and heating element were a bit fiddly and sometimes takes a couple of hours to clean. This should be done at least once a week. Then something inside seemed to overheat and the silicone cup started bubbling. I have increased the cleaning/descaling to every 3 days. distilled water, but it wasn't too much…

Update: died at 11 months. Good, but not perfect

update below: died after 11 months. The keyboard doesn't fit well. Condensation and electronics got in, so we were woken up very quickly at 2am to cotton pffftt and the smell of burning electronics. Should have lasted longer. I will not buy again. Likes: absorbs a lot of water, easy to clean. Most of the internal parts are silicone so they go in and out easily and because they are very flexible you can remove dirt. It needs to be cleaned frequently. Does not work with hard water

I liked this humidifier for about a week. Vornado says it has a 24-hour max capacity of 4 gallons, so that was 2 fills a day. No problem. Mine was dispensing 8-10 gallons a day, that's 4-5 refills. It was tedious, but at first everything worked out great. The instructions say to use citric acid to clean, the cleaning light came on and voila I cleaned it. DO NOT BUY! Engineered to fail, impossible to clean. Generally garbage.

After 1 week of use and one cleaning cycle, 'A1' started flashing indicating that the powerhead containing the heating element was not fitted properly. Considering that the method of attaching the head is reliable, I suspected that something had gone wrong.
