Very good value for money Solid mid-weight solid pedal

This is my fourth pair of VP pedals and I usually use their VP VX Adventure Race mountain pedals but need flat surfaces for winter riding. It was an amazing deal that fully met my needs. They are very strong, relatively light, beautiful and unobtrusive. They are grippy and stay on foot well when needed. It's not really a fault, but the black anodized finish wears down in the middle right after the first ride. My Silvers are in the area after 100 muddy miles. Doesn't affect work at all. These…

Disappointed with the quality

Mine came disassembled and not in retail packaging, just an Amazon box. They were also beaten, it looks like they were kicked on the floor at the factory, and then they were wrapped up. They get beat up at the track anyway, but they don't really appreciate being beaten up. First: The left pedal is very stiff, the bearing would be a problem in my opinion. I did some research first but didn't realize they only have one outboard bearing which isn't great. There should be two bearings. The stock…

an insane number of price points, It's frustrating and confusing to know which brand to choose. I have friends at work who ride and will pay $90+ for other "brands" of low-profile super-traction aluminum pedals, and these from VP are just as good, if not better, in my opinion. Yesterday they came to my house, installed it and today they brought it to the tracks. I can't tell you how much they influenced my bike. My riding experience today was unlike anything I've had before and the pedals made…

Size comparison, slightly small

Bought a pair of boots to try my 4 bikes as I'm recovering from an ankle injury and don't want to be buckled up now. Pedal size information appears to be vague, missing, or often incorrect in various listings. Here are my measurements for the top of the platform, WxL, and then from the spindle mount to the outside edge of the pedal in mm plus or minus mm. Crank Bros 2 Die Large: 110x108, 120.Venzo Cut Concave: 100x95, 113.Venzo Cut Convex: 102x95, 113.VP Vise: 100x85, 107 Large Die 2 is my…

Best flat pedals I've found under $100

These are great flat pedals, especially for the price. Not too heavy, sealed bearing, easy to maintain, most pins are easily replaceable. The reason I say "most" pins are easy to replace is because the 4 pins on each side screw in from the top, not the back. Most of the pins that screw in from the opposite side are standard M4 screws, so they're very easy to swap out. Pins that screw in from the top tend to get stuck when hit by rocks, but given the placement of those pins on this pedal, I…

Bearing issues straight out of the box (2 different sets of pedals)

I tried these pedals on my Trek Slash Enduro bike that had previously been ridden with Crank Brothers 5050 pedals 3. Love the design and the Grip is fantastic! (much better than my Crank Brothers 5050 pedals). However, as some other reviewers have noted, the bearings don't seem to be the best. On my first ride, riding 2 miles on the trail, the left pedal made a faint "click" with each pedal stroke. By the end of the 15-mile drive, the click had turned into a loud bang. Frustrated, I returned…

The VP Vice pedals are awesome! Get a pair but verify the buyer!

There are some interesting patterns that you will see as you read the reviews. Some people have their pedals shrink wrapped and scratch another pedal in transit. Some people get new pedals in the box and life is great because they got a great pedal set at a great price. And some people buy box pedals that look brand new but have swollen bearings. I am in this third group. I bought this pair from Cyclingdeal_usa, made by Revain. I was happy to see the pedals arrived brand new in a box similar to
