game changer! good for sport

I have a Mongoose mountain bike. Low handlebars didn't bother me about a year ago (getting old sucks). Well, let me tell you, these handlebars have made riding enjoyable again. All the pressure and fatigue I felt in my wrists and shoulders is completely gone. I also had creases in my neck with the original bottom bars which are also GONE! Now I can sit almost completely upright. I wish I had bought these years ago. I wouldn't go more than 6-8 miles on standard mongoose handlebars. Now I walk…

Exactly what I was looking for!

I installed new handlebars on my Specialized Crosstrail this morning. Everything went according to plan. Feedback from other customers helped me avoid some pitfalls and also prepared me for known installation issues. As others have noted, the cables did get frayed a bit due to the change in geometry, but I was able to rearrange them a bit to minimize the problem. Due to the flex in the grip, I also had to modify the brake/derailleur assemblies to make them work properly. Overall the…

Fantastic handlebar to make the bike more upright

I have fitted these handlebars to two bikes and have loved it both times. As I age I'm not as flexible as I used to be and these bars are a great way to add about 5 inches of travel and very comfortable (but not excessive) hand/wrist rotation without having to change anything else on bike (apart from some rework brake/shift cables which I had to do anyway as the old ones have been around for years) I had no trouble fitting the cranks, cheap new Shimano brake levers or my old necks to the rods…

Very disappointed with the clamp method of this handlebar.

I bought these after a long time looking for different styles and wanted to try them. Once installed they seemed perfect EXCEPT the clamping area is rounded and you can't tighten these bars enough that they don't wobble and slide (for me) and nearly cause a bike crash while riding. I carry field repair tools with me, but these poles don't stick to my neck. My old latches and latches before them work perfectly. Due to their construction, they have no grooves in the clamping area for gripping. No

As described good fit for parts and components

Handpiece could be a little longer as it fits snugly trying to engage the brakes/gears and allow enough hand room but these were the dimensions described, so it turned out. I stood up very easily and was fixed well with a neck clamp. No issues with rusting or scratching (as other reviews have mentioned), but you'll likely scratch a bit while wearing the hardware. This raises the handlebars about 4 inches, which I would like, but note that you may need to replace the shift and brake cables if…

Not the quality of my original rims.

The ends of the tube (cut) were slightly flared, not properly finished, Hard to carry things from an old bike. The surface is glossy and the paint scratches easily. In addition, the diameter of the pipe is only a few minutes larger, so it is difficult to install existing equipment on it. It's harder to assemble things and not scratch the paint. Dissatisfied. Must be baked at the end. If it only has brake levers, it's fine. Or a 20 inch children's bike, single speed without handlebar brakes…

Great handlebar BUT VERY IMPORTANT Warning:

So I bought them for my wife and I bikes in December 2017. Bikes ;>)) I bought 2 more sets for my adult daughter and her boyfriend's bikes which we bought for Christmas 2018. You have a 31.8 clamp that doesn't fit. All is not lost though, you can get a 25.4 stem for less than $15 on Revain and it's an EASY replacement. My suggestion: if you think you need these bars, buy them. IF the stem clamp is too big, buy a 25.4 stem and the swap takes less than 3 minutes. Also, I would suggest a 60 or…

Do it + video good handlebars

I ride my mountain bike in an urban environment, so I don't need straight handlebars. 95% drive on asphalt. Also, I will never ride mountain trails or do anything extreme, so I realized that instead of riding comfortably and really seeing what's around me, it was pointless for me to ride in an awkward position and face the road . The conversion was easy and I didn't have to adjust the cables. . I posted a video on YouTube. Search for the username Gyzari, I can't post a link here. Sure, you can…

Changes geometry from MTB to Cruiser

I work in the city and ride my bike when I'm in town on business. I've read that the best urban assault bikes are old-school mountain bikes because they have a strong chromoly frame and can take a beating. I remembered having a Schwinn High Plains in perfect condition in the basement so I dusted it off and started using it after changing the tires to slicks, adding fenders, tail bag, horn and tail light. The straight bar wasn't a problem when I bought it at 93, but over time I found that it…
