Worth the Money: Power & Hand Tools

This is a handy item that you may not use often, but when you do need it the only spare is to be on a ladder and above your grinding head. Loading paper is easy and convenient. My only problem is learning not to press too hard on the blanket and to keep the angle so that it slides easily. Well thought out product.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Appearance

Not as good as others.

Pivot point on joint too high to control head direction. The metal supports are lower than the head, so you can keep your head in the same direction when walking back and forth. for some reason you can't do that with the plastic. It works, but metal can work much better.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

Light but strong. for power and hand tools

I haven't used it to finish sand drywall, I've used it to mask with sandpaper and it was great! It should be able to do this a few times but the wood area I used it on was about 500 square feet and I haven't had to re-stain it for about 4-5 years. So, the resurfacing will be done again, but if I lose it or whatever, the price will be great and I will buy it again.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some cons

Doesn't really work

It was a good concept. I bought it to sand drywall to the ceiling without a lift or ladder. The difficulty I had was that it didn't stay straight when moving forward unless the angle of attack was very low, which is quite difficult when trying to sand down the ceiling. When the angle of attack is small, it is difficult to apply pressure. Bottom line, it was pretty useless for my purposes.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Reliability

Difficult to use effectively, would be quicker with a manual sanding block

I buy it for sanding ceilings. This design is inconvenient for this task. The head of the device spins freely, making it difficult to apply on a flat, flat surface with a back/forth motion over the head. You will not be able to sand the ceiling evenly if the machine head is rotated 90ยฐ relative to the stand because the head will move too much to sand evenly. So a fine sanding line with the head in line with the shaft, ie instead of a broad line.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • unreliable

Good price for rare home use

Threads look a bit nice. The threads on my telescoping pole are well defined and this sanding pad fits my pole well. I actually have one Attached piece of plywood to this sander and then covered the plywood with a towel to clean some inaccessible windows and this sander worked great I plan to use it for its intended purpose scraping acoustic ceilings it should work great The Rubber backing is pretty solid and the sandpaper holders work great.

Pros
  • Female head works with standard 3/4" extensions
Cons
  • Something different

With this tool, grinding is fun and efficient.

I use this tool with 80 grit sandpaper and an extension. I was able to sand down a lot of roughness and together with another round tool and a finer grit I get a very smooth finish for my paint jobs like doors and interior panels. I even go back and re-sand and re-paint some of the rough spots. Sanding is all that is needed for a good finish. I wish I knew about this principle before I did all my doors and a bathroom. These grinders are better and easier to use than electric grinders.

Pros
  • Professional foam sponge
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Great DIY product, easy locking mechanism

Much stronger and easier to use than I expected. I have severe arthritis in my hands and all the other drywall sanders had locking mechanisms which I couldn't use except this one! BENEFITS: Easy to block Ideal for arthritic hands and fingers Durable Inexpensive Holds ANY sandpaper Once blocked, the sandpaper doesn't move The only neutral element is that you either have to trim large sheets of sandpaper to fit, or trim the drywall sanding sheets slightly to match them. That didn't bother meโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lightweight plastic, for use with drywall work
Cons
  • Some bugs
