Many reviews have said this speaker has no volume. I guess what they didn't understand is that you need to hold down the + button until you hear a beep and also make sure the volume on your device is turned up. This speaker is pretty loud for its size. I've also seen complaints from people stating that it stopped working/charging after being submerged in water. Rule of thumb: Do not submerge electronics.

I use this little speaker all the time to listen to podcasts when I'm working around the house. I also use it in the shower to listen to podcasts, unless I'm drunk, in which case I use it to listen to 90's hip-hop (obviously). It took me ages to figure out that you turn it on by holding the + button instead of just pressing it once because it skips to the next song. Just watch out for those who want to listen to Tupac in the shower after the party.

I like listening to music while cycling. And increasing the volume on my phone didn't help. I bought a cheaper 5 euro model. It worked but not louder than my phone. I love this thing for several reasons. First, it's very durable. I've dropped this thing a few times because I'm one of the most clumsy creatures. The thing is very durable. Suitable for my purposes. I don't need stereo. I use this speaker in a mobile setting to allow wildlife research participants to hear the sounds of birds, bats, and other animals.
