Very nice anchor, lightweight, compact and easy to use. The flat top plate makes insertion and removal very easy. No more lugging around 2 bulky rusty anchors and bumping into the way when you beach your boat. I can finally get rid of at least one bulky anchor. The anchor is gunmetal aluminum, looks very cool and shouldn't rust. Plus, you no longer have to step on the edges of the anchor when using it!

I have a 20ft Tahoe and it hasn't withstood light winds due to waves from passing boats. I also used a bungee boat rope and also had a 20lb anchor. An anchor did the same job as a cobra's thorn when pushed fully into hard sand. Had to drop it on the beach twice in half an hour. Not impressed with the fact that you now have to have two anchors to hold the boat. Now this is no longer necessary and as a result the anchors have become cheaper.

I don't usually write reviews but this anchor works really, really well. On a day of 10mph winds on the Florida Gulf Coast, it accommodated three people with heavy touring skis (with a heavy cooler). Earlier this year I bought a $200 anchor to use as a spare when we beached our boat. Because it was a heavy deep-water anchor, it was towed to and from the boat by PITA. It also didn't work that well on the beach due to being towed by a boat on windy/wavy days. Then, when my son injured his leg accidentally stepping on an old anchor while chasing his sister, I decided to look for another option. I have not seen anything comparable on the market. This beach anchor is truly amazing. You can feel the quality as soon as you unpack it. It's incredibly light, even my kids can swim to shore with it. It cuts through the Florida sand like a hot knife through butter.
