Works with workarounds

available First, my computer is a Dell Inspiron 13-7378 (2-in-1, 7th Gen I5, 256k SSD), firmware February 17th. It has a USB Type-C connector, but there's no further information about the connector in Dell's specs. Forum posters are pretty sure it's a USB 3 port (Inspiron is the budget version of XPS). In short, hub/ethernet ports will work when connected to a USB 3 Type A port. A USB Type C to Type A adapter will work with an external hard drive or thumb drive, but will not with hub/ethernetโ€ฆ

I have 2 USB-C ports side by side on the right side of my laptop (HP Specter x360). And this C adapter makes it impossible to use another C slot to connect the power cable. See the product image for the solid adapter base C (rectangular) which is slightly wider than USB B (square). And it blocks the laptop slot. Either I have to shave the base of the adapter. (Which I didn't) Or am I forced to just use this without the power cord plugged in (for 6-8 hours). This is a great inconvenience. Theโ€ฆ

What I needed best in hubs

Modern laptops have more or less limited ports and in most cases at work this also becomes a problem as the ports are so close together that one port uses can block others. Another missing feature is the RJ-45 Ethernet port. However, I understand that thinness is the key feature of many of them, and most manufacturers offer some creative foldable RJ-45 connectors and just ditch the connector. Sometimes Ethernet is desirable and sometimes more ports. I also have adapter cables to extend theโ€ฆ

Alum Body Computers & Accessories

I have been looking for one of these in the company approved supply chain, I need one for the lab as we are getting more and more tablets and laptops that are wireless. PC devices only have a USB port and no Ethernet port, which is safer and more reliable when it comes to data transfer. The supply chain offered one for about $100. NO WAY! I used my own and it was about $6. I wanted one for the lab and may end up buying more for enterprise users and devices if they are dockless. It's fast andโ€ฆ

User friendliness. Best in Networking

I love how fast it accesses USB drives, especially the 3.0 port; almost immediately. However, I would like to see better instructions on how to use it otherwise. It's pretty much plug and play, but it would be nice to see detailed instructions on what else it can do. I was hoping to use the ethernet port, connect to my modem/router and create a NAS drive using a USB flash drive. Maybe I just don't know how to do this, or my modem/router doesn't support this feature. However, instead of using it

. This is exactly what I need for my new computer which is very limited in ports. In total I only have 3 ports. 2x USB-C, 1x USB 3.1. Since I didn't have an Ethernet port and additional USB ports for my mouse and keyboard, I needed a hub that could do both. This one does both and does it well and also matches my laptop's skin. This gadget saves my life as I can't use Wi-Fi and need to connect to Ethernet port. Also, it works with a USB 3 port so I don't have to use my Type-C to connect to theโ€ฆ

Outstanding customer support

Product performance was purchased on a recently purchased Lenovo X1 tablet. The USB 3 interface of the device works well with the tablet. However, when connected to the included USB-C adapter, the tablet does not recognize it. At the suggestion of the support service, I reflashed the latest firmware and device drivers for the tablet. After all the updates, it still doesn't recognize a device with a USB-C adapter. Finally, I tested a device with a USB-C adapter on a Macbook Pro and it worked. In

As advertised with MacBook Pro

Wow! I moved my home office to the basement and have WiFi here, but I had concerns about the signal strength for my workload when using a lot of internet and LAN traffic. With WiFi, I got 90 Mbps, but that number varied greatly. I had my doubts as to whether this would offer gigabit speeds on my Retina Macbook Pro over USB. He arrived a few minutes ago. I plugged it in and plugged in a Cat5e cable and tested the speed across my LAN and I'm transmitting at 900Mbps, give or take. The same applies
