Wesbar 403026 Waterproof Profile Trailer Review

OEM headlamp assembly purchased to replace an original unit on a 20 year old boat trailer. Couldn't find a better price anywhere. Excellent value for money and quality.

Wesbar 403026 Waterproof flat trailer light for over 80 inches is a great replacement when you need new ones. They were slightly larger than my originals. This one had to be trimmed down a bit to fit, which wasn't a big deal.

Identical to the original left light on a 20 year old PWC trailer. The two bulbs inside are in a sealed waterproof capsule and are NOT interchangeable. Be warned. When a bulb burns out, you have to replace the entire fixture. This is not a factor for most trailer applications as they are simply not used to it enough to worry about bulb burnouts. Of course, the airtight capsule is nice because you can dip it in a lake and a hot lightbulb won't break.

I thought this would be a direct replacement for the light on my Shorelander trailer. The size and shape were the same, but the original had a large hole in the back to attach the nut and bolt to the trailer. As a result, I had to cut the same hole in the new jigsaw. Also, there was a cable connector in the trailer that I wanted to plug in and reuse instead of cable wiring, so the installation took longer than I expected. So far everything is working fine.

Purchased September for use in Maine. While I was checking the light, the light that had been in the water less than a dozen times was not working. I removed the lens and light to see why. The vial cap that contained the onion contained two ounces of water. Now the lamp socket is rusted. Really not worth the money if you only use it a few times. West Marine grants an additional guarantee for these cases only.

This driver's side taillight was a good choice for me. Looks exactly like the original, which I unfortunately fell over on a lawnmower. (I know - too close to the mower). It was very easy to install. The wiring matched the color-coding of the original and was very easy to connect with one exception; No wire nuts were included. The original ones were rusty; Luckily I had a couple that went well together. I found it a little pricey, but it's better than buying a whole taillight kit that includes…

These are top quality headlights, not branded crap. If you have an EZ Loader boat trailer, this is the actual branded light that was installed at the factory when built. I have an EZ Loader trailer that was built in 1995 and these are the same lights it had when it was brand new and one of them was still working when I replaced it last week.
