Elegant, compact shape. Kindle Fire, Samsung tablet and phone charging ports don't match this device, but since I don't need a charging cradle, it wasn't a deal breaker. Since I use hardwood pencils, this only sharpens them so-so - the pencils look like they were sharpened with a hand sharpener that kids keep with their school supplies. This gave great prominence to softer wooden pencils.

I like this sharpener because it is powerful, beautiful and small. I love that it has a power cord so you don't have to buy batteries. I would suggest that only adults clean up the trash from pencils as it can be a bit messy if your kids are doing it. You have to turn the top and tuck it halfway into the trash when you're empty, and I'm not sure some kids will do that without hitting the bottom a bit. But it hardly ever needs to be emptied, so it's really not a problem. I really love this…

Great combination of sharpener and USB charger. Little footprint. The sharpener also sharpens a relatively smaller portion of the pencil than some others. (I know that sounds picky. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then don't worry; if you understand, well now you know...) The only downside to this sharpener is the plug, which lasts more of an outlet.
