Strong and did what it was supposed to

This drill cut mounting points for some of the corner fasteners on the table skirts for a fairly large country style table built for a local elementary school. Cafeteria for teachers. This made assembling and reassembling the table ridiculously easy.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Hard to tell

The cut is smooth and precise.

I used this to bevel the edges of 3/4" (nominal) birch plywood to join corners. A slight bevel on the cutting edge makes this tool very clean. This is done with straight cutters this one Diameter Connections are now very precise and clean.

Pros
  • Best in the Niche
Cons
  • Nothing

As always. Whiteside makes some of the best cutters on the market and this cutter is no different. Quality made but retains good sharpness. Precise milling, so there is no vibration in the router. Cuts clean sharp edges in all types of wood, even MDF. Whiteside, Freud and Eagle America bits are my favorite bits for milling. Anything else is a waste of time and money. Well, Aman's tracks are pretty good too.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • No instructions

Quality, reliable performance

Bought this as an experiment to make 45 degree angle cuts for large decorative boxes rather than using a table saw. This is a very high quality router bit and is exactly 45 degrees from the router table. If you make small cuts and sneak up on them, you can get a very precise edge in the right place. The cut surface is exceptionally smooth on poplar, cherry, and maple (which I've tried so far). I am very happy with it. I have several types of Whiteside bits and have never been disappointed with…

Worked great for a 45 setup on a long board

My table saw was buried behind the project car so I couldn't get it out to set a 45 degree angle on the long board. A table saw is usually the best option for cutting. But since I didn't have a router table, I decided to use this bit for this purpose. It worked VERY well. I had to cut two boards and join them to make a 90 degree angle and the two boards fit together perfectly. And that with a cheaper milling table. This bit works very smoothly in a router; unlike the cheaper ones that have…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Have doubts

I love these router bits.

I've heard a lot of good things about these beats on the internet and youtube. I needed a router to shape some maple baseboards. I used Beats from Skille; Bosch; SMD; Freud and even Riobi. Some of the bits I used were a bit loose when I was routing the maple. By varying the speed and feed, I was able to overcome most of the vibration. This WS router bit has a .25" shank and worked great with my HP Bosch 2.3 HP MRC23EVSK Combination Cutter with a MRC23EVSK Combination Plunge Router and Fixed…

Perfect bevels are no longer a problem

I have been making bevels with a table saw for many years. I've used shooting boards to clean out the miters and despite all the preparation and careful maintenance, I still (sometimes) had ill-fitting miters. Insert a large 45 degree whiteside drill bit that can cut perfectly at 3/4 inch angles. True 45 degree cuts can be made with this bit and squared timber for a gap free fit. For an experienced carpenter, this attachment will help reduce production time. However, using these bits requires…
