Very high quality: Pliers

I have bought many Wiha tools and am very happy with them. They are accurate, precise, very sharp. I often use them to tighten and then cut cable ties.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Ideal for cutting thin wire.

Nice set of pliers. Well made with ergonomic handles. The jaws only open 1/4 inch so are not suitable for cutting larger diameter wire. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive

They cost extra

We used to use 100 sharp tools a year in our electrical workshop. However, they changed that! Month after month technicians have NO PROBLEM with their blades getting dull or a thin wire slipping between the blades. HELLO VIHA!

Pros
  • Solid design
Cons
  • Not the best

SO happy, good for side cutters

My friend builds computers and works with a bunch of cables and such. He is very happy with this item and even went so far as to get me to hold and squeeze them (which is funny because I didn't know what I was testing) but they were comfortable to hold and I can see the attraction see. He recommends and will definitely buy again if needed, thing is pretty durable.

Pros
  • So far happy
Cons
  • So far so good

Best Zipper Cutter and also Copper Wire

Wow. This tool is best for finishing your zip ties (even cheap ones) with absolutely smooth edges. I wish I had had this many years ago. They are very sharp and the grip ergonomics are excellent. You are paying for precision blade design and precision construction. I wish I could have it in every toolbox I own.

  • Certified

Not worth the money, the quality is average.

Pliers made in Vietnam have no quality. The jaws are not aligned along the full length of the jaws nor at the apex. Flush cutter from technology part no. np-05 is much better. The grip is comfortable enough, I just don't see them holding up to hard work. If you use them daily I would suggest going with Engineers/Wampler or Rigs. Skip these.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Upgradable

Very sharp blades!

Bought to replace my favorite E710BCG snap-on bit which I dropped tip down on the concrete floor. They are nowhere to be found. These Wiha flush cutters are smaller than Snap-on and their jaws don't open that wide at just under 0.25", but they are well made, the edges are properly machined, parallel and matte sanded. Very comfortable in the hand and very sharp! Spring return works well. I use them daily for a month on up to 16 AWG copper wire and zip ties. So far I'm satisfied, by the way, Wiha

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Obsolete

TIP Do not buy anything that is not original WiHa.

WiHa sells second line products that are not original WiHa. Like a pair of flush pliers that will actually give up their tips after a few dozen 20-26 gauge soft copper scissors. Real WiHa are worth their money. Your line without WiHa is not worth 10% of its asking price. The Germans and Swedes make the best alloy steel in the world. I learned the expensive way that trying to save money is a lot more expensive.

Pros
  • Two piece non-slip soft grip for comfort and control
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

LARGE CURVES FOR SHARPENING

NOW I WAS LOOKING FOR THAT IN A SANDER! I bought these and another pair from another brand which just didn't cut very well but I had no problems with them. These wire cutters are strong they are sharp and can usually cut tiny lengths of wire or files unlike the other one I have which I had to try 3-4 times before I finally had a successful cut and they are comfortable. The hand feel is great, the material is not too hard so you don't have to worry about any discomfort after holding it for a…

Pros
  • Abrasion-resistant lap joint, riveted and suitable for high loads
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Sharp, detachable roller pin

In the Q&A section for this product, someone mentioned that there is a roll pin that keeps the jaw from opening further, but noted that the spring may not be able to accommodate this. So I bought it to find out. You were right, the spring will fall out if the jaw opens further than the pin. However, this can be corrected by inserting something into the recesses where the spring goes. If you would like the blades to open further, the roll pin can be unscrewed with an appropriately sized bit…

Pros
  • Edge retention through additional induction hardening up to approx.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
