Small and efficient

My cable modem is in a room several rooms away from my computer, so I couldn't get a 5G signal until I bought this USB device. It now sits next to my computer and provides a strong, stable signal at a very reasonable price.

Beautiful high gain Wi-Fi adapter

The new Wi-Fi adapter is easy to install. WiFi reception is good even though the WiFi adapter is on top and my WiFi router is on the bottom. My old Wi-Fi adapter struggled to get a good Wi-Fi signal in a similar situation. So far, after a week of running the new adapter, it's still really working

Great WiFi Adapter - USB Network Adapter

Excellent WiFi adapter for use with computers without built-in WiFi. Especially useful when working on desktop PCs when there is no network switch nearby to connect the cable to. I like being able to move the adapter around with an extension cord/dock so it doesn't stick right out of the back of the PC.

Used to increase the performance of my AP device. Now I get 3x download speed. Easy to set up. The stand really helps to get a better signal.

Worked as described, not sure if overclocked to full speed but good enough, noticed significant difference immediately. I rent a room on the street behind the house and the router is in the main house about 100ft from my room and there are 5 other people using wifi in this complex so my internet speed is sluggish. I had to upgrade my phone service and add a hotspot to be able to watch movies and surf the web without lag when everyone is on Wi-Fi. Browsing is now faster, pages load faster, and…

Excellent wireless adapter in computers and accessories

Excellent wireless adapter for use with PCs without built-in wireless LAN. Especially useful when working on desktop PCs when there is no network switch nearby to connect the cable to. Excellent Realtek 8811CU Wireless LAN 802.11ac Adapter

Inexpensive adapter, works great. The drivers for this are already installed in Windows 10: Realtek 8811CU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC, driver version from 07/29/2019 - 1030.38.712.2019. I upgraded from another TP-Link adapter that was having persistent connectivity issues. So far so good with it!

it is difficult to install the driver on older macs, the range through walls is not great.

First, the description is wrong! /With! It should read "480 Mbps" which is the maximum throughput of USB 2.0. If you are trying to use it on an older Mac and went to their website to get the driver. You will find that they put 10.610.14 as one download and 10.15 as the other. I had to use a newer 10.15 driver on my old MacBook (10.13) to make it work. Mac users should disable Apple's gatekeeper via terminal: sudo spctl --master-disable <--- (google it). But even on 10.13.6 it doesn't work…
