The problem I have is the lack of smoothness of the hinge which is tight and doesn't work very well. I smeared it with WD40, no luck so don't really like it.

These pliers are comfortable to hold, grip small parts well and are easy to use – they act like an extension of your hand. I have a few in my lab, my office, and my workshop.

Pliers work fine but if you need xcelite customer service, good luck, they're not very helpful. So I would now choose a different brand. The Apex tool ships quickly and seems legit.

I actually bought these for jewelry making. I wanted a good, sturdy pair of pliers that I could dip into Tool Magic and use to work with rings to make chainmail jewelry. They work so well I now have 4 pairs of these pliers. Two remain clean and two remain covered with gum. I love these pliers. You are a very good buy.

I ordered these because they are xcelite and made in the USA. Although the pen has an image of the USA, the one I received is MADE IN CHINA. I have to send them back because I paid for US production otherwise I would have bought a Chinese brand and paid half. I have to send them back but it's not worth my time or $10 of hassle.
