Contrary to what the first review of this book says, this is NOT a crochet book. You don't really need any crochet, knitting or sewing skills. All dolls are made by wrapping yarn around themselves and it is very easy to make! There are basic instructions for making the doll, and then specific instructions for creating each of the Royal Family's characters. The dolls are very accurate. and detail oriented.
