I have ordered this tool 3 times. January 15, March 15 and November 15. So far the tool has worked well with 1/4-20 stainless steel or brass firm bits. The tool held the insert in place and the insert slot and leading edge of the tool were the correct size. The tools have been clear hardened, phosphated and machined before marking. Although only EZ-Lok numbers are mentioned I found this 500-5 to work very well with Hellman 3021 3/8-16 Brass Threaded insert works. Note that there are tabs on either side of the 500-5 that must fit into the insertion slots. The slots of many Inserts are too narrow for these bosses. But the Hellman 3021's slots are wide and work very well.
