High quality block heater.

Good product, fits well. The cable was too short for my application, had to connect an extension cable. Turns out there is another version that doesn't have a thermostat wire, $20 cheaper, wish I knew about it before buying this one as I had to cut the plug off anyway.

This fits much better, plus a great integrated port cover

I used a Katz block heater on my 2011 GMC Canyon SLE V8 and it blew out after two months. It's much better, and the integrated socket cover is great. The Katz heater had to be purchased separately and was a terrible design. The connector that goes into the heating block also fits much better.

Thermostat set to turn on at 0 degrees Fahrenheit

I bought a heater with a thermostat in a wire. I would like a higher setting, for example in the 25-30 degree range. Its my fault. I'll probably just cut it off and put a new ending. The end connected to the heating element has no clip or bracket. Now I see that a few different models have it. When installing on my 2007 Tahoe I had to use an impact gun because my block drain plug was so tight and stuck. To use the kick, I had to unscrew the oil cooler lines and set them aside. As soon as I saw…
