Really versatile.

The installation was successful even if this is your first time. But it only lasted 1000 miles which was my fault or the fault of the product. You will decide.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • The list is long.

worked to fix a piston leak

Worked fine on my '04 Sierra, I just undid 5 bolts on the body and disconnected the master cylinder from the power steering, unhooked the lines and the rest left on the truck. I think the big problem is pushing the sprocket clip and brake rod out and installing them last. Lubricate the seal during installation and the piston to prevent cracking of the new seal.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Only available in white

Just buy a new hydraulic booster

This is the second type of hydraulic booster repair kit that I have purchased. Never stopped a leak completely. I still have some liquid. After a few months, this has completely failed and the power steering oil is flowing, as before the repair. I strongly encourage you to save yourself the headache and time by purchasing a new power steering pump.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Some imperfections

A great alternative to a complete hydraulic booster replacement!

First, it requires some mechanical ingenuity. After depressurizing the device, dismantling consists only of separating the housing halves and installing a sealing set. If you do this repair a couple of times and get acquainted with the design, you won't even have to remove the entire unit from the car. This kit fixes a common leak problem and costs a fraction of the price of a 2000 5.9L Black Goat.

Pros
  • A one-year trial
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
