Inexpensive plastic handle

The handle of the kettle is made of metal-coated plastic. The downside to this feature is that I'm pretty sure the metal plating will peel off over time; A plus is that the metal handle is not very hot to the touch. Temperature controller and window are made of plastic. Those who are sensitive to plastic will not want this kettle. The metal of the teapot itself is very thin - it seems it crumples fairly easily and gets very hot if accidentally touched. I will be returning this item as I had…

Beautiful to look at and functional.

Very nice kettle, nice design. At first I ordered black because all of our appliances are black and it looked great, but then I changed my mind and changed it back to beige to better match my sugar bowl and ceramic teapot, and I still like it beige better. Don't really look at the temperature dial, so I don't care if it's on the C or F. I can tell if the water is hot or not by the dial and that's enough for me. The kettle is large and boils quickly. Great!: Kitchen & Dining

This kettle is wonderful! Although the temperature sensor is in Celsius, it is very easy to convert. Black tea is said to be 212 F but that's the same as 100 C. So once you know that you can just search the internet to find out, it's very easy to understand. At 212 F it will cook fully. All you have to do to get started is plug it in and press down on the little button on the side. When it's at the right temperature, just lift the handle or when you need it hot it will turn off automatically…

Not as good as my old Aroma

I needed to replace my Aroma kettle which had served me well for over 10 years. But reviewers of the latest version reported that the new model is not as good as the old version. So I was looking for a kettle that would meet my needs (stainless steel, no BPA or toxic plastic). I stopped there, but I feel like I've settled for less.
