🦀 Zoo Med Hermit Crab Climb Branch Review

My crabs love this thing! As soon as it got into their aquarium, they immediately started using it. I highly recommend it to spoil your crabs.

Crayfish love to climb on it. I often see her on it at night. It works very well for her feet and is a good size. It is also very durable and will not break.

Less than I expected. The crabs haven't used it yet and it's been in their tank for two weeks. This is a piece of wood that has been painted green.

We've had ours for over a year now and a new (larger) hermit crab has attached itself to one of the holes. I couldn't break it by hand so I had to take some vises and slowly break it off piece by piece. Looks like the crab ripped off part of her leg trying to get out overnight, fingers crossed she didn't lose the leg.

I understand it says different colors but the picture is very deceptive and suggests that you will get a nice tree climbing branch. However, you will receive a colorful plastic tube with holes. It is heavy and thick, unlike real driftwood. The color is terrible in my opinion. The plastic seems too slippery for the crabs and that was after I put them on it myself (since they didn't use it). Judging by the photo I thought I would buy a piece of Jeolla wood but when the item arrived it was extremely light colored plastic shade of blue. .Although I was concerned that the paint might chip and become toxic, I put a climbing piece in anyway and my hermit crabs loved climbing on it. But on one of my regular inspections, barely a month later, I noticed that the paint was actually peeling, so it was removed and thrown away.
