Superb all in one CO2 package

You get exactly what you see in the photos. I got $99 with two gauges for low and high pressure. And the quality of the components is pretty good. CO2 takes several hours to build up pressure. It starts off quickly, then slows down sharply to the point where it seems like it's unresponsive, but for about 4 hours the pressure in the canister was 10 and the next day it dropped to 20. During the first 30 minutes, the bottom of the canister becomes cold due to a chemical reaction, place somethingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Not really recommended for a grow tent/grow room

Well this product does what it says on the tin but if you're going to use it in a grow tent you should know that the CO2 doesn't last long, especially if your tent is not 100% airtight. Any fans or exhaust systems will deplete the levels very quickly. I used the entire tank in one day trying to keep it in at least the 900-1200ppm range and it really never got to the recommended 1500ppm. This reservoir is quite difficult to control and finding out how many bubbles are per minute and the size ofโ€ฆ

Buy a paintball rig instead.

This review is specific to the two tier system. The only problem I had was with the two-stage regulator. The pressure on the first gauge never went above 6, and the pressure on the second gauge never went above 10. The regulator will work fine for the first two days after refueling, but then it will eventually not put out enough pressure to actually pay the same BPM . . Therefore, after two days, constant monitoring and adjustment is required. I tried replacing the main o-ring in the systemโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I won't say anything

This is a great do-it-yourself CO2 kit for aquariums. If you buy canisters, switching to a system will save you tons of money! If you have large aquariums, this system is much better than the canister systems that you can buy at retail. I will say the instructions could have been a bit clearer but I was able to figure it out. If you're having trouble figuring out how to fill the bubbler, I struggled with that during installation. I ended up putting the female end that connects to the solenoidโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Better than expected quality

I took a chance and saw there were no reviews but wanted something nicer than a typical DIY CO2 setup. It fits this requirement very well. The bottle is highly polished stainless steel and the regulator, bubble counter and needle valve seem pretty good for the price. I don't use the included diffuser and instead bought a nicer jar that better suits my 5 gallon aquarium, but the included diffuser is quite heavy and appears to be well made; It's just big and obtrusive as it's made of metal, notโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very impressive

Too good to be true, leaks.

I wanted to like it. During quarantine I had to find a way to inject CO2 into my heavily stocked 40 gallon water box while not releasing pressurized CO2 into the world. I first started with the Fluval 95g Co2 system which is just a joke. I checked them every few days and they are very expensive to keep in stock. You wouldn't cut it for a serious setup. So I did a little DIY research on the CO2 reaction. Having spent thousands on my aquarium and this hobby, I really didn't want to cheapen myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Reliability

Phenomenal available CO2!

I am very happy with this system. It is a good alternative to compressed CO2. The instructions are very clear, with photos showing each installation step. The only time I ran into an issue was getting the pressure set right. When I first plugged it in, the bubble counter valve was fully open, causing all of the water from the bubble counter to burst the channel, so had to I stop, refill the bubble counter, and then it took another 20 minutes to figure out what it was. Also, the check valveโ€ฆ
