Works well but leaves you itching

I used this to wrap two mini bike exhaust. It's easy to install, does the job, and looks pretty good. The instructions are to soak it in a bucket of water or spray with water when installing. Fibers get easily airborne when dry or cutting. I tried to spray it first and found that to be inadequate so I brought the bucket out and layed the roll in the water. The fibers are irritating to the skin like fiberglass and I do have concerns about the wrap being rubbed and fibers getting airborne with…

Pros
  • Works great and looks even better
Cons
  • May not offer a snug fit for all exhaust systems

Excellent wrap! So So zip ties

The wrap it’s self is excellent, very thick you can overlap it and get it very tight. The fabric it’s self is very similar to what you will find with DEI. Also others have noted that It frays when you cut it. That can be prevented if you use sharp fabric scissors and cut it slow at an angle. It does shed fiber wetting it would help control that. Overall it well provide a nice tight professional looking wrap. The ties though wow they are bad! With the DEI zip ties you can take a small jewelers…

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all motorcycle models

Really does a great Job!

Watch some vids on youtube for install tips. The instructions say to use water but some videos don't. There are plenty of stainless ties with the kit. You might want 1" for more technical work, the 2" was kinda difficult to manage around bends. I cant imagine a 4-2-1 header or the like. I just wrapped a Miata turbo down pipe. I double wrapped a section that sits right near my leg, and I can barely feal any warmth in that area through the floor. It used to nearly burn my leg! ProTip: cut off…

Pros
  • Works great. Bought it for minibike projects and it works great..
Cons
  • May not fit large diameter exhaust pipes

Made a world of difference

2007 Honda ST 1300 throws a lot of heat from under the fairing and it was not much fun riding it in the summer. I ordered this heat wrap and went to work! As a side note if you cut the wrap in half you will have enough to do each side without pulling the entire length through while wrapping. Keep the wrap in a small bucket of water and this helps with the glass fibers from getting all over you and making you itch. It comes with stainless steel zip-ties to start and finish the wrap. WHAT A WORLD

Pros
  • I used this product to reduce the noise on my RV generator exhaust.
Cons
  • Can fray at the edges over time

Reduced my exhaust pipe transfer heat

Wrapped a single pipe exhaust system (from front exhaust collector to beginning of muffler) on a 1980 MGB. Had a problem with heat transfer from the pipe through the floorboards and into the passenger cabin. My unprofessional testing of the heat in the cabin after the wrap was it was reduced a good 20%, making the car much more comfortable to sit in. Well worth the money. Purchase the extra metal wrappers for a better and tighter fitment. I finished the system up with (BBQ) heat resistant black

Pros
  • easy to instal.
Cons
  • Ties are small and difficult to manipulate

Great wrap, traditional look.

So far so good. I've picked up a new bike and started making it my own (hot phoenix summer so it's tinkering time, not so much riding) and this is one look I enjoy so since Walmart has everything I tried out this wrap. It wrapped my V & H Short Shots on my softail with plenty left over. I was going to wrap over the heat shields but opted against it but would have had enough in the 50' roll. I do not trust the narrow hose clamps that came with it so I went with the traditional 1/2" clamps…

Pros
  • The roll is specifically designed for motorcycles, making it a perfect fit for those who own a motorcycle
Cons
  • Material may become brittle in cold environments

Fuzzy & sheds a lot, but gets the job done

Wrapping the exhaust was pretty trivial; I didn't need a second person, I just wrapped it a few times in the middle of the pipe and then slid it up to get it started. It looks nice and achieved the desired look; however, the edges are much fuzzier than I expected and I'm not sure how well it's gonna hold up overtime as a result. I'll update my review should anything change.Word of caution: WEAR GLOVES. Long ones if you can, and maybe some clothes you don't mind tossing. The wrap sheds tiny…

Pros
  • My bike is still hot but not as hot as it used to be, it helped a little bit.
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on catalytic converters

Works as Planned: my feedback

Bought this to cool down my friends VTX 1300R with straight long shots. The wrapping is a little difficult (if weather had been cooperative) would wetting the wrap and it should make it easier to apply in a tight bond. The metal zip ties are all but useless. We took some High Heat aluminum duct tape and it seems to be working great. The wrap is making a big difference (temp wise) where his leg rides on the bike.

Pros
  • It works as advertised
Cons
  • May reduce performance if not installed correctly

Impressed by the quality of this heat wrap!

Used this to wrap the H pipe under the passenger compartment of my MaseratiReally thick wrap, really easy to use, good packaging, even comes with gloves so you don't have to hunt for some.Highly recommend

Pros
  • works great. just as good as dei. soak in water overnight for best install.
Cons
  • May not withstand extreme temperatures

Meh not terrible: my feedback

I used this on my truck and it was a pain in the ass the way the exhaust is hard to wrap it heat wrap itself is ok already got a burn rip one spot I can see overall product isn't terrible it's decent

Pros
  • This heat wrap is especially beneficial for those who live in areas with high temperatures, as it prevents overheating issues
Cons
  • May be difficult to remove once installed

Works but sloppy on my review.

This works well as far as insulation but it's super sloppy. I used this to wrap a boat exhaust and it's much more difficult to install than an fiberglass wrap. It really holds in the heat but actual installation is difficult due to the fact that it frays very easily. I gave up halfway through trying to make it look good as no one really inside my engine compartment. My advice is to go through and cut off all the strings that hang down.

Pros
  • The titanium exhaust heat wrap comes in a sleek design that adds a stylish look to your motorcycle
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on mufflers or tailpipes

Workds great, not too hard to do.

I was pleased, I thought this would be a super pain, but it wasn't. My suggestion, buy a cheap roll of dry wall tape, similar in width, use this paper roll/tape to do the windings around the pipe you want this material on. it will give you a pretty close template to cut material from the roll. Leaves some of the guess work of figuring out how much to cut or cutting short and having to use more clamps to start wrapping again.Once I was done, there was a funky smell coming from the underside but…

Pros
  • It can be used on different parts of the motorcycle, such as headers, downpipes, and exhaust pipes
Cons
  • Ties may loosen over time and require readjustment

Just perfect good for me

Installed on a Kawasaki ZX-10R with a titanium exhaust. Follow the instruction for installation and it is working perfectly.

Pros
  • It saves you money by preventing the replacement of expensive parts that may have been damaged by heat
Cons
  • Fiberglass material may cause skin irritation if touched

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Make sure to wear gloves when wrapping exhaust.

Helps keep heat off of clutch cable. Wear gloves when installing it will get in your scum like insulation. That's my review!

Pros
  • The titanium exhaust heat wrap roll is versatile, and it can fit a wide range of motorcycle models and sizes
Cons
  • May not offer sufficient protection against extreme heat

Better than expected!

Absolutely better than expected. I assumed it would be an ugly frayed mess based on some other reviews, but that doesnt matter for a downpipe your never see so I bought it. It installed beautifully and looks just fine. Minor hairs here and there, but honestly its a great product and I was very pleased with how it handled. Ill update once Ive run it a few hundred miles!

Pros
  • The heat wrap is resistant to both high temperatures and adverse weather conditions
Cons
  • Not effective at reducing vibrations or rattling noises

Exhaust pipe now at 130 degrees

I bought this at the recommendation of my boat friend Stu. My boat has a tractor in her, marinized. The problem is the area from the manifold to what would have been the exhaust muffler. Mine's a stainless riser. That metal would get hot! Because I would potentially be working over the engine after or during her running, not burning myself is critical. This stuff is spiffy. The mechanic cut it into 4' strips and wound it tightly around the three ports and exhaust, then over the riser part too…

Pros
  • The titanium exhaust heat wrap comes with instructions for easy installation
Cons
  • May be challenging to remove after prolonged use

Great product: my feedback

Used this on my Duramax when I put on a new turbo. Wrapped the up-pipes & downpipe to aid in the underhood heat. Did the job and looks great. The single roll of 2" x 50' was more than enough for my job.still have at least half a roll leftover.

Pros
  • It can also reduce the risk of engine fires that result from excessive heat
Cons
  • May require additional adhesive to hold in place

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Sheads fiberglass bad.

Have used other products that got hard and smooth. This looses hair fibers even after drying. We'll see, but so far not impressed. On the positive note, they sent 16 ss zipties

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • May be cumbersome to work with during installation

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use and effective

I used this wrap to go around a wiring look on an 80 series Toyota Land Cruiser. The wiring loom is very close to the EGR pipe and is known to cause problems with heating the loom and wire shorting. This is very thick and looks to be excellent at resisting a heavy amount of heat to protect the wires.

Pros
  • The titanium exhaust heat wrap roll is made of high-quality material that is long-lasting
Cons
  • May not offer a snug fit around bends in the pipe
