ABN Bubble Flare Tool, Double Flaring Kit, Tubing Bender, Pipe Cutter - 1/8in to 5/8in / 3-16mm Review

I've been looking around for a kit that can make both twin and bubble rockets. I am restoring a 1967 Lotus Elan and replacing all the brake lines and hoses is a must for a car that has driven 40+ years. All manifold fittings require bladder flares and hose end connections require double flares. The kit is made in the USA, fits both, and costs less than $100. A win-win situation. It's easy to use and delivers great results.

I bought this to replace part of the brake line on a friend's car. I've never done this task before (and never flared tubes before). I repaired a broken brake line by replacing a piece of NAPA's already flared and installed hose and using this kit. The instruments seemed to be very durable. I used this to repair the fuel lines on the car and it worked very well. I'm sure there are easier tools to use but they don't come close to this price. I was particularly disappointed that the nuts on the other flare tool clicked when I first turned them with a screwdriver. It has really strong wing nuts and I was able to tighten them every time. After struggling with my Harbor Freight Flaring Tool, I took the plunge and bought this. It was a great decision as it just flares the tubes perfectly.
