I've been looking for a woolen blanket to use as a throw to watch TV. Something double. All I saw were $200 models until I found this one. Received yesterday and washed according to instructions. This is a great duvet - heavy and definitely wool (the tag says 80% wool - 20% man made). The perfect color for my space. This duvet is quite warm but I would definitely recommend getting a second duvet if you need it for the coming winter. I was under the impression it was thicker based on the reviews and while it works well I don't think it's particularly thick. Hard to beat the price. This is not a cheap pressed wool blanket. The woven fabric and a small amount of synthetic fibers provide a good, durable base for long-term use, but it's not the same as synthetic fleece in the sense that it breathes naturally. Two of these were purchased in April 2013. Brand new, they were filled with a strong chemical smell. I could reasonably expect that.
