Easy to install, big improvement

I replaced the stock rear shocks on my 2016 Chevy Express 3500 passenger car with these in search of a smoother ride. In between and slightly lower rear tire pressure (when not loaded or towed) definitely helped.

Pros
  • Lots of fun
Cons
  • Functionality

Good quality struts are good for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Excellent struts. The ones that came with my van lasted 6 months. The photo shows that it fell apart. Great progress after installation. Before I write a review I wanted to see how long they would last. Well, that was almost 2 years ago now. Struts is still showing good results. These were for my converted GMC 2500 van.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

RV Class B forum help with this choice

Lexor 2008 for fun - this was installed with sumo springs front and rear. Hovering and jumping when driving on the road are gone. Now I can drive a 9,000-pound Class B machine with one hand on the wheel without swaying or swerving in crosswinds. Installation was quite easy, I didn't have to disassemble the wheels to fit the shock absorbers, I just laid it on the ramps.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I will add later

What a journey. best club

what a ride. Chevrolet 4500 2013 on average. Although it is a 2013 30ft Class C RV I am very happy with the new addition. Worn OEM shock absorbers. What difference does it make in terms of ride and handling. I thought about adding an anti-roll bar, but when I changed the car's shock absorbers I found it was there. Everything now works together for a much more controlled ride.

Pros
  • decent performance
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Fits my 2013 Chevy Express 2500

I have replaced the OEM shocks in my van with Bilstein front and rear. The initial ride was too springy and smooth with the OEM shocks. Bilsteins have one BIG difference: less bounce, less wobble, more control. Highly recommended. Pay attention to the weight characteristics of shock absorbers. <7200 pounds and >7200 pounds. I installed HD>7200lb shocks since my van is 8200lb.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Great for my RV suspension upgrade!

We have a 2006 Four Winds 5000 on a Chevy chassis. I just upgraded all 4 shock absorbers and the rear Hellwig anti-roll bar. I can't believe I waited so long to do this. Normal shock absorbers were simply shot. Handling is now like day and night. It should be illegal for them not to pick up a good suspension. Definitely recommend them with matching facades. Don't wait like me!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • No manual

Overcome potholes and bumpy roads!

I have a new Class B motorhome for which I wanted better support. Bilstein is the best of the best in my opinion. The installation went straight away and without any problems. This is my second purchase of these shock absorbers. I had previously purchased a similar kit for a previous motorhome and they were excellent. When I sold it with 85,000 miles these shocks worked just as well as the day I installed them. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Good RV Shocks

I installed them in my 30ft RV on a Chevy 4500 chassis. They are better day and night than the OEM shocks that I removed at 25,000 miles. They eliminated front-to-rear stuttering under acceleration, braking or road dives. They also slightly reduced body roll. They were very easy to install and I'm only moderately mechanically savvy. I put the top piece back in place by tightening it with my thumb and then used a jack to lift and screw the bottom piece into place. Not bad once I figure out how…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Negative impression

1 month old GM conversion car

Bought an excellent GM Savana based '2500' conversion car. However, the journey was so exhausting that we could not enjoy it. Our 1997 Chevy Express 1500 with KYB shocks drives like a sedan. The installation of front and rear Bilstien discs has allowed this new van to drive almost as well as the '97. I've "tormented" 50 years and never even thought that shock absorbers can take a ride from totally unacceptable to totally awesome. Worth every penny. They're also nicely finished, although I did…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Nil
