Does not support LEDs, otherwise perfect

I wish this was compatible with LED lights. I love Lutron dimmers and was looking for a combo switch for the bathroom fan.My LED light said it was compatible with most dimmers, so I figured it was worth a shot (even if the Lutron packaging said it was not intended for LED light use). So, no surprise, but it didn't work. The LED light was constantly on, and behaved erratically. The timer worked great.I'll be the first to buy a LED version when it's available!

Pros
  • Works a supposed to. Reasonably easy installation. Absolutely recommend
Cons
  • I installed the switch correctly and it did not work.

Minority Report in my House!

Works perfect in my bathroom. Studs all around, so I couldn't install a two-gang box for a dedicated fan. I'm not a fan of 2-in-1 setups, but I was forced. Now, even if building from scratch, I'd use just one gang with this switch. The fan timer looks awesome [orange light pulses down] and works exactly as advertised. At first I was surprised when the fan briefly shut off 1 minute before the timer ends, but I've since gotten used to it [and like the warning].It's perfect for my bathroom, and…

Pros
  • Compatible with most incandescent and halogen bulbs
Cons
  • May not save as much energy as advertised

Nice dimmer plus timer for single switch plate

Installed this when we replaced a bathroom ceiling light with a light and fan combination unit. It works as expected and we are glad it fits into a single switch plate. The timer is great for the fan and the dimmer is great for the light.

Pros
  • Product only works with incandescent and halogen bulbs; not for use with LED bulbs
Cons
  • Does not come with a wall plate

Great switch good for me

I installed this in my bathroom to control the vent fan and the light over the shower. The timer for the fan works flawlessly and is a great feature - set it and forget it. The dimmer on the light is nice for morning showers.that way you aren't blinded when you turn it on first thing in the morning. It was super easy to install, looks great, and works even better.

Pros
  • Great for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
Cons
  • May not be able to handle multiple circuits

Pricey, but highly functional

A little pricey, but all the functionality is worth it. We are slowly replacing all the switches in our house with these. The timer switch allows you to choose how long the fan will run so you know it will turn off on its own. The light switch allows you to turn the lights on to full brightness with 2 taps. You can set a special light level and that level will be used when you turn on the switch with 1 tap. Turn off immediately with 1 tap, or press and hold to set an amount of time the light…

Pros
  • Precise and customizable lighting control
Cons
  • May create a humming noise when used

Switch is fine, description is poor

Disappointed I had to come back to ebay and buy a wall plate because the Lutron MA-L3T251 does not come with the plate. The switch should come with a plate.1. The switch can be over $60, should have a plate2. Switch is a custom color, most people will want the plate.3. A plate is pictured in the switch ad.4. The listing says (upon checking) wall plate is not included but hidden deep in the horribly written "Product description"Also note the switch behavior is not quite as advertised. "Two taps"

Pros
  • Arrived on time, and worked perfectly. Just what I needed!
Cons
  • Only compatible with incandescent and halogen bulbs

Good but burned out after a few years

I have a couple of these and just had to replace one after about 5 years. I guess the fancy electronics inside just gave up. Other than that, it sure gets the job done in a single space box so it saved me the trouble of tearing out the box and putting a double in. As easy to wire as any switch ought to be.

Pros
  • Convenient and practical for many different settings
Cons
  • May pose a safety hazard if not installed correctly

It's now 2017 and still we do not see a lot of single gang multi circuit switches. These are expensive and any single gang multi circuit switch is going to expensive unfortunately. The only downfall is that these are not smart switches but the look and feel is very modern. Perfect for the washroom as you can consolidate for fan and light switch into a single gang. The one thing I hate the most switches with more than 3 gangs. it's crazy.

Pros
  • ‎Dimmer Switch
Cons
  • May be confusing for some users to operate

Didn’t work for my LED light fixture

My electrician was surprised that I found this switch. However, the dimmer did not work for the LED light fixture we have (even though it was dimmable). Without using the dimmer feature, simply turning on the light, caused the light fixture to flicker. So I am returning it. My electrician says that some LED fixtures work with dimmers, some that are marked dimmable really do not.

Pros
  • Coordinating wallplate not included
Cons
  • May not last as long as other switches

Lots of functionality in a little space

My bath fan and light used to be controlled by a basic toggle switch. I for one (and probably most people) hate this type of set up. This switch was the perfect solution for me. Intelligent dimming controls that match other switches I use around the house, separate timing controls for the fan, and I didn't have to expand to a larger box. I have to admit it was a bit of a challenge getting all of the wires to tuck nicely into the existing 2-gang box (switch and GFCI outlet), but it was nothing…

Pros
  • Offers full-range dimming with smooth, fade-on and fade-off operation
Cons
  • May not be eligible for returns or exchanges

Compatible with LED: Probably not

As others have said, CFL and LED probably won't work (at least as expected). It has no connection for neutral lead and must pass sone amount of current through the load (which will result in most LEDs staying on at a low level). Don't understand why nobody offers this in a version that takes a neutral when available, which would greatly improve compatibility with non incandescant bloads.

Pros
  • Easy-to-use programmable timer
Cons
  • May emit a buzzing sound when used

Does not work with LED (i.e. modern) light bulbs. Might as well install a CD player at the same time if you are going to put this in. I had to dig up some old fashioned incandescent bulbs as the existing LED bulbs would not dim al

Pros
  • Enables you to create the ideal mood for any occasion
Cons
  • May be too high-tech for some users

Works as Described for my opinion

Got this product as a replacement for a Hampton Bath Fan/Light with stacked switches to control each independently. Disconnected the original switch assy (three wires plus gound) and installed this product in ten minutes. The timer switch will save a lot of electricity and pay for itself within a year.Easy to operate and program

Pros
  • ‎Pole
Cons
  • May require frequent maintenance

Perfection! for my opinion

A great product--not a single complaint. I was skeptical at first, after reading the instructions, as it sounded somewhat complex with all of its features and capabilities. As it turns out, it is very easy to use. Click the button once, and it'll power the light up to its most recently set brightness (timer will power the load to the last set timeout). The dimmer has a special function that will keep the light on for up to a minute as you exit the room. However, this is not a feature I find…

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Timer function may reset if power is lost

Old connections and dual function hookup

First I'll say that I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize this doesn't work on LEDs. I bought this to run a bathroom fan and light separately. It ran the fan fine but the LED didn't turn off (makes sense; no neutral hookup). If it didn't have the LED light on the fan it would have been fine. I tried to unhook the light to just run the fan and it wouldn't work at all. The fact that I couldn't unhook the light and still run the fan is honestly pretty ridiculous. For connecting the wires it

Pros
  • ‎Lutron
Cons
  • May not be as aesthetically pleasing as other switches

Another Lutron quality product.

I've only given this 4 stars since it doesn't fully fit my needs. I needed a timer switch plus a separate On/Off switch. No one makes that combination. I'm sure a lot of people buy the new Panasonic Bathroom Fan Combo's and need such a combo switch. I hope Lutron reads this.

Pros
  • ‎0.01 ounces
Cons
  • May stick out from the wall more than other switches

Perfect for master bathroom

I bought this for the master bathroom commode room. It's perfect because I set the dimmer to a relatively low (dim) setting which means no more painful blinding light during middle-of-the-night potty runs. The fan also works well because I can start it and leave, knowing that it will turn off after the prescribed time.Installation was simple. It's a good piece people - I'm going to buy one for the other bathrooms.

Pros
  • ‎Black
Cons
  • May require additional wiring

Works perfectly best in my review

I bought dimmable LEDs and they worked with this dimmer. They were Phillips A19 dimmable LED bulbs which I got at Home Depot. No flickering or any other problems. The fan timer is awesome. Using LEDs is a hit or miss, they usually require a special dimmer, I’d recommend trying out a few different bulbs to make sure they dim properly. Also, make sure every light bulb socket has a bulb in it, the switch might act up if a bulb is missing

Pros
  • ‎1 year limited warranty on materials and manufacture
Cons
  • Limited color options for wall plate

Works with LED Dimmable light bulbs

I installed 1 of these and it worked so well I bought a second one for an upstairs bathroom. It works fine with the newest dimmable LED bulbs (E.G. Sylvania brand bought at WalMart). Set the level, and it 'remembers' it every time you turn it on. It does require at least 2 bulbs in the circuit, and 3 is better. The problem is that with only one bulb, the light stays on (dim) when it should be off. But with the higher load it works fine. I like how it brings up and down the light levels rather…

Pros
  • Wall Switches
Cons
  • May be difficult to replace if broken
