Okay, but the screw holes are wrong.

Fine except the screw holes aren't even close to where they should be. They won't fit a Camaro 96 without a lot of grinding to move the bolt holes.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Transparency

Doesn't quite fit, needs minor adjustment

Had to drill a few holes to fit and the bumper didn't quite match the bottom bracket but was close enough. Not exactly an exact copy.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Update available

Doesn't fit my Camaro SS

Once again, Dorman's aftermarket products didn't fit right. The hole spacing was 3/16" too big for my car and yes that is the correct part number from Dorman. Back to OEM for me!

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Available in white only

I need the best product!

This item was scrap! The holes were too small, it had a tear, when I tried to attach it it broke in half! Complete junk and Dorman normally makes a product of the highest quality! I need another one ASAP and it has to be the right hole diameter!

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Can't remember

Needs modification for

The Dorman part is the same height as the stock bumper plus the stock aluminum spacer so I didn't have to use a spacer on the new bumper - no problem. Bolt hole centers on OEM parts (and the vehicle body) are closer together than Dorman parts. I had to cut holes in the new bumper towards the center, .100" at a time to fit. I haven't found better parts anywhere else, so it's a typical old car treat. I used a 2001 TransAm. With them is everything ok, except for the distance between the holes.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Measurement question in Tools & Equipment

As mentioned in other reviews, the bracket hole sizes do not match the OEM product sizes. On one end of the bracket I rounded the hole with a large drill and then lengthened it with a file. This process was time consuming so I grabbed the other end of the bracket with a Dremel tool and lengthened the hole in about 5 minutes. It's much quicker and easier to machine the second bracket with a Dremel tool, and it doesn't remove more bracket metal than is needed for the installation. I saved $20 per

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
