Wrong fit on jeep 4.7 liter engine

The part doesn't fit, not a single part fits because the design was changed without a proper solution. It simply shifts the leak from one place to another.

Seems to have fixed the leak.

For now (a week after installing) this seems to have fixed my leaking pressure hose. Others say it's the wrong threads and it doesn't fit BUT this seems to have fixed the problem on my 01 4.7L Grand Cherokee.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Disappearing

Incorrect power steering threads

The hose I bought was the right size, the right bends BUT the guards on it were WRONG. Now I'm in worse shape than before because I mixed up the threads in the pump and fan. Now I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee that I can't drive because it doesn't have a fan or power steering. Dissatisfied. Rick Gee

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Disappointingly fits Power Steering

2004 Grand Cherokee 4.7. It works. You'll need to tweak the curves a little and swear a little to make everything fit. I recommend installing the fan side first, removing the radiator hose and loosening the V-ribbed belt for better access to the pump. I would recommend Mopar if available, which wasn't the case for me at the time.

so i wasted time despite perfect and fast delivery via premier

the link confirms that this item fits and fits my car as i have provided all the necessary information about my car but it does NOT work, so i lost time despite perfect and fast shipping via prime and now i have to send the item back at my price which i find unfair! You must be sure it is the correct part before shipping.

Pros
  • big choice
Cons
  • some little things

Does not fit properly

I ordered this part to replace a Mopar part for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Even though it says it fits my car, it does NOT fit. In my case the end of the hose part that attaches to the hydraulic fan is not the same as the Mopar part and is not tightening properly. Therefore, the power steering fluid leaks out. I had to go back. After all, it's better to be part of Mopar. It still cost me $175 for parts, labor, and shipping to figure it out.

Doesn't fit right

This line is a replacement line for the 2000 thru 2005 jeep power steering cam mounted pressure hose. On the 4.7 v8 the original line had a latch to connect fittings that were leaking over time and were hired. Found from another company for $193 but bought this one for less than $50. If possible I checked the threads and they were correct on both ends. I started installing it in the pump and it went wrong and flattened the threads on the new line. See the attached picture! The problem is that…

  • Fingers crossed
