good for money No tilt function.

Wrong description. Not 100 lumens. just got mine 80 lumens. There is also no tilt function. It's a flashlight on a string. If you put the light on the forehead as intended, the light will be too high. Thought it would have a tilt function. Bought these to keep in my travel bag so they work for the price. However, if you need them for hands-free convenience, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Just good for blinding everyone nearby

If your goal is to blind everyone nearby then this headlamp is perfect. Apparently the older version had a ratchet to change the angle, but not the latest version, so you're stuck with bars that shine a little above eye level. Bought them for the Boy Scout meetings which are going to be outside for the foreseeable future. Like the other reviewer, they're not worth returning, but they're totally unsuitable for my purpose unless I can put a foam wedge on top to increase the down angle.

Non-adjustable headlamp

Bright lumens and I love how wide the beam illuminates your eyes. Night light is a nice addition. The headband is very comfortable and easy to adjust to any head size. What I liked about this particular fixture was that you can't adjust the light to shine where you're looking. When you're looking for a headlamp that can be adjusted to illuminate where you work. This isn't the one. But if you need general bright light to illuminate your path while walking or general lighting, this is perfect.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Compatibility

Nice idea, poor execution

The new black design is one piece - no loop to adjust up or down. The beam hits just above eye level, making it almost useless to look at directly. You can drag it down until it's above your eyebrows to make it a little more useful. Red light is so broad that it's almost useless except for very close viewing of objects, and even then it has the same focal point "right above your eyes," requiring an awkward turn of the neck or the position of the spotlight to see something. Do not return…

Poor design makes it difficult to use.

I don't know what the idiots were thinking. I have owned several headlamps including some very cheap ones and this was by far the worst. All for the simple reason that the idiotic designers turned the lights up so much that it's almost impossible to use. Of course, you could just keep tilting your head down while looking up. but seriously? It's actually surprisingly silly considering they've also ditched the tilt adjustment. The only way I can use it is to place the light very low over the…

No tilt function

Firstly, if you want to walk/be seen under the headlight at night, then it is normal that the headlight cannot be tilted to either side. Don't forget to point it at the ground or anywhere else where light is needed, it won't happen. What we have here is the simplest, two front leds and one red led, which btw is almost useless, not bright at all, not sure why it's even part of the light. The brightness with 2 white LEDs is just about ok, but I can't understand why a famous brand company would…

Priceless item at a great price

This headlamp is cheap but works really well! I bought one for my brother and he liked it so much I ordered it for my husband. It is easy to use and maintain. Anytime you need two hands to do something and the flashlight takes one of those hands, you'll find this headlamp is invaluable! Beautiful and bright, and where your head is pointing, there is light too! (It has a red light function that my husband used in the Navy many years ago, but we haven't used it for anything yet. He told me it's…

Pros

VERY CONVENIENT AND EASY TO USE!

I bought this headlamp to replace my "old trusty" headlamp that I had for years. At first I was hesitant to buy a headlamp for fear it would be useless, but I didn't have much time to research as I needed it for my job as a courier. I can say I was amazed at how bright the white light is. I accidentally turned it on after putting the battery cover back on and it nearly blinded me! The night vision is great too, I can find things in my cockpit without flooding the cockpit with white light. The…

Good idea, bad design

Good idea, bad design. BENEFITS: Comes with 2 headlamps/strap, bright light, adjustable strap, good price, 4 batteries included, hands-free design, trusted Energizer brand. Now CONS: I have a migraine problem so I turned on my headlamp at 8pm to wear around the house to see if I liked it. By 8:30 p.m. the migraine was gone, but the tightness of the belt was annoying. The harness became uncomfortable, hot and sweaty after an hour (I'm still indoors with the AC on!). I felt like I had a unibrow…
