Instructions could be better

I only give this 4 stars because the instructions were a bit lacking, it took me forever to find the system default password to change the settings. Other than that, it does what I need to be good at charging and maintaining my batteries. I definitely recommend the remote display. I installed my controller under a cabinet because it's a bit clunky and honestly I didn't want to look at it in my van. The remote display mounts beautifully and has a wealth of information that you can access to…

Works great so far and optimizes my performance

I've had it less than a week but so far so good. Very easy to set up and I get a lot more out of my 1-85w panel than with a standard charge controller. I will be getting more panels in the near future so I wanted to switch to MPPT. I highly recommend purchasing the Remote Meter MT-50 that comes with the kit I purchased. It offers more information and is also easier to read. I only deducted 1 star because the main display has no contrast adjustment and is difficult to read at some angles. The…

Works great, a million times better than PWM controllers

Works great, a million times better than PWM controllers. Haven't used the advanced features yet, but everything works great so far. The only problem is the display. As others have said, the emoji is completely meaningless. Also, the same backlight on/off button is used to turn on/off the load. So if sometimes you just want to see what's going on, it turns off the load etc sporadically. If you plan on switching the load on frequently (not automatically), I would recommend connecting an external

Easy to install and use.

Charge controller really impressed. I've used similar charge controllers in the past. I also use the controller on another system with a remote MT5 counter. This remote meter shows much more and allows you to control more functions. The manuals for the controller and the remote counter are much better than expected. The words are written in American English and have pleasantly surprised ever since. This unit gives me multiple solar panel and battery system options. I can choose the type of…

So far, so good! I run two of these because of my .

So far so good! I use two of these due to my solar configuration. Running 2 sets of 4 panels, CSUN 305. Run 2 in series and then a parallel string into the controller so that in this configuration with full sun almost maximum performance is achieved. I've been following the MPPT feature and it's worked great so far! It distributes volts/amps correctly and regulates as it should. I still have a lot of settings and configurations to test, but I can finally recommend a good controller that doesn't

Beautiful MPPT controller

Great price for MPPT solar controller. This device is packed with features and works well in my environment. I installed EPEVER in my caravan with a 100w solar panel. My panel constantly outputs voltage above 13 volts, it's very interesting to see how the controller converts overvoltage to amps. This conversion helps charge the battery more efficiently. EPEVER has some minor design flaws. 1.) This solar charge controller does not have a backlit display. Since I installed it in a closet, it's…

Good regulator - Energy regulator

I have a year with this regulator. I started with just 400w panels and then expanded to 800w. I had a battery drain issue if I had too many cloudy days in a row, so I added more panels. I've gotten up to 1200 watts, which is higher than the controller's rating, but it still works fine. In my area, it's unlikely you'll ever get maximum output from your solar panels. The controls were ok. This was easy to set up with MT50. I've never played around with connecting to a PC until recently, but it…

Great Control: Solar and Wind Power

New to solar power and "learning" towards making a stand alone solar aerator for my pond. I bought the kit off eBay and used the cheap charge controller that came with it. I had no plans to replace until he died. I know the MPPT chargers should be better and more efficient, but my goodness they were $$$. It was the best value that met my needs and didn't break the bank. Based on the reviews, I had no qualms about buying a fake MPPT controller because of the price. The fake ones were still much…
