Description of EWK 64 5Mm Removal Corolla Cylinder

【 Wide Applications 】 This 64mm 14 flute Toyota oil filter wrench specially fits Toyota Corolla, Prius, Matrix; Lexus CT200h; Scion XD, IQ, and IM. It also fits vehicles equipped with 1.8L 4-cylinder engines that use the newer cartridge style oil filter system. *This tool does not work on vehicles with traditional disposable spin-on style or canister type oil filters. 【 Tough and Sturdy 】 EWK cup style Toyota oil filter tool is forged from heavy duty material, which will provide great power to rotate the extremely tight oil filter cap without cracking itself. 【 Perfect Fit 】 There are 6 slots on the bottom edge, which will match perfectly with the tabs on the Toyota cartridge style oil filter cover and prevent slippage when you unscrew the oil filter housing with tremendous strength by the 3/8 inch drive or adjustable spanner. 【 Damage Free 】 The 14 flutes oil filter socket will not cause damage to your plastic housing cap because we increased the contact area of the wrench on the housing to eliminate this problem. Not only saves effort, but also avoids damaging the filter cover due to excessive force. 【 Excellent Support 】 Service and Quality guaranteed! EWK provides you premium quality tools with 12 months warranty. If there is any problem or concern with our products, please contact us for assistance.

Time will tell: Oil system tools

The product performs its function on the Corolla MY14. The grooves and lugs on the oil filter housing have some play, but this may be due to wear on the housing itself. This is a pretty rough cast. So time will tell if it breaks. Overall a good DIY product and much stronger than stamped steel adapters.

for oil filter wrench

1/20/15 Works as it should. Dealers and others often twist the plastic cover. This can make it particularly difficult to use for the first time, as there are some concerns about the plastic part tearing. When engine designers switch from canisters to filter cartridges, they should change the location of the oil filter instead of crawling under the floor of the car and accessing it from above.

Quality wrench

Revain have a wide range of wrenches. I chose this wrench because of the price and because the seller took the time to let people know how to use it and I quote "The oil filter wrench comes with a 3/8" drive to the Tightening and a 27mm socket for loosening recommended. " Most wrenches are cast aluminum and will break if you use a 3/8" drive to remove the oil filter housing if it is too tight. The wrench is very good quality and the manufacturer even has a sticker on it taped on the key. saying

But I'm not sure if mine is correct.

I've just received one of these, or at least one that looks very similar and comes in EWK packaging. The problem is that the hex nut fitted on top is NOT 27mm long as described here. My 27mm head is way looser than it should be. As you can see from the pictures, there is no EWK engraving or stamping on the top. Could I get another one but sent it back in EWK packaging? I do not know. Edit: Went out today to see if I could find a hex head that would better fit the head of this wrench, to no…

Great tool - just use it properly "GET THE RIGHT JOINT "

Ok I have this tool on a 2010 Camry LE, 2011 Corolla S and 2012 LE Camry used. Can you tell I'm a guy from Toyota? it worked great on all 3. From what I've seen, car dealers seem to like making life difficult for shade tree mechanics and tightening the canister so tight it's almost impossible to get it off. The typical torque required to install a can is 20 to 30 ft-lbs, not 90. The torque required to install a can is cast into the top of the oil can. As others have said if you use a 3/8"…

It fit me perfectly but it was tight

This tool fit me well and I am happy with it. As mentioned in other reviews, I had to tap lightly with a hammer to get the grooves to engage the lugs on the oil filter cover. Also, I had to do a bit of work to remove the oil filter cover from the tool, it just couldn't be removed by hand. I changed the oil for the first time on a 2012 Corolla. I was surprised how difficult it was to get the filter cover off. My short handle lacked torque so I had to use a longer handle and push properly. I saw…

Well it worked best in Tools and Equipment

So I bought this tool for use with a 2011 Toyota Corolla 1.8 engine. This tool sits very tightly on the plastic cap that holds the oil filter. I had to use a ballpoint hammer to tap the tool to get the tool to fully grip the plastic cap. If you look at the tool you will notice that there are three notches on each side of the tool. Now, before you do this, make sure the teeth on the black plastic oil cap line up with the slots on one side of the tool. I noticed that the black plastic cover has…
